Yeah, that's bugging me too. Why even bother if you can't have the buggy under the flyer. Where's the fun in that?

I hope we'll get some details on this soon.

I assume the "Valkrane" is the transport used to drop Elysian Sentinels. Lovely model, though I would have preferred some Elysian stormtroopers

No. Elysian Sentinels can fit into standard Valkyries.

This is, exclusively for the moment, the transport for a Tauros Venator and the other chassis built off the Tauros.

AS I'm not up to date on FW Elysians, I don't even know what those are! (Off to FW to find out...)

I seldom say this in regardes to FW but the ork stuff sucks in my opinon.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Me and a friend had a chat with one of the FW guys (Simon Egan I guess).
The Valkyrie crane is indeed a transport for the Tauros and derivatives (if they do them). The model is indeed part plastic and part resin (much like their new Vulture). It's hull and cockpit are resin, the wings and tail is plastic. The transport bit has 4 clamps which fit exactly on the four outermost wheels, but they are on rails, so they can be adjusted to future stretched Tauros like buggies.
The Tauros is much smaller than I expected, which is good IMHO. It is electricly powered and has just electric weapons. This is due to the design philosophy that carrying ammunition and fuel weights to much to be air dropped.
The Ellysian Valkyrie troopers look very cool, just like you have seen soldiers in aircraft before they deploy. No rules for them, they made them just because they are cool. (GW pay attention, FW is doing these things far better than you are!)
The Ork tank is very well detailed, it's surface very Orky, but it's shape is too boxy, too straight and too plain for an Ork vehicle. They Ork commander on the otherhand is just great!

i know the fluff says so and i believe the army list does too but does the model *actually* fit in there? every once in a while i search for some new pics but so far i haven't seen anyone who converted/magnetized their elysian sentinels to actually fit in the valk cargo bay.

It does, if you assemble it correctly.

The legs have to be as folded up as possible, and it has to be "hunched" over.

Nah, I had seen it at a Games Day awhile back when they showed it off.

Thing is, you also have to leave off the base if you want to do that.

I'll second that. I've seen pics of the Elysian Sentinel folded into a Valk.

Cozy cockpit of an Archer ARC-5S

It should be possible, the cockpit is already reduced in size and if the model is built with the legs folded up or with some funky configuration found in the new Sentinel boxed set it could easily be stowed in the rear. It would probably need one or two guys to help push it out, or some fancy kind of trolley or sled to load it.

Anyone else seeing the striking similarity to the LAAT/c from Star Wars?
The SW one has magnetic clamps, and one less pilot compared to the troop carrier. They even look kind of similar, just add tail booms to the gunship.
