You sir, are quite the character. One of great educational standards I assume. One of high standards in those of Music, mathematics, and cultural history? You may be the master in your game, but I am disinclined to acquiesce to your request. Means no. For 'The' grandest game master of 'the game' is the one who calls him self the 'Magister Ludi'. There for the only person I shall answer to.

Alas, with that said. Welcome to Dakka! Your thread has become an inspiriting topic for me to read. If you ever have seen the movie called Moon? GERTY the robot, you and him share a lot of similarities.

*Edit. Again, you may indeed be the master of your game. Within the Theatre Cordillera of Chatsitea. But you so self highly claiming to be the master of 'The Game', which I assume is played along the same rules as the Glass Bead Game, also 'The Game' that you speak of. With no show of authenticity from the Magister Ludi, or any former Magister Ludi is deemed as heresy and true ludicy. I fear you have lost your instincts for letting your mind control ' the game' and how your glass beads choose to react, and letting your emotions take control. Your passion and ego making you claim to be the best, and your lust for more power to bring this heresy to Dakka.

I how ever cannot boast for my self. I am no player of the game, nor a Magister Ludi, but an Imperial Guards men of the DakkaDakka 41st Millennium. Use your conns, and slick words to tear my post apart. I am no linguist, no scholar, nor teacher. I am a Soldier of 41st millennium! WHERE THERE IS ONLY WAR!

Hello Murray,

Thanks for the welcome.

I'm not a real fan of the animated sitcom; "South Park" -- and "Flight of the Conchords" I found only mildly amusing and entertaining. As such the humour you use has failed to excite a skerrick of laughter from me.

Additionally, using a non-plural noun to express an acknowledgement of parting is perhaps stretching your "marclars" one too many, and confirming to me and sundry that your use of them is perhaps over-exuberant or more accurately perhaps just, severly lacking. Moreover, it sounds strangely unoriginal.

Nevertheless, I acknowledge your 'one trick pony' show - perhaps others have experienced some amusement by your showing. Alas, I haven't, but I do thank you for appearing.

Cheers,
Daniel Moszkowicz. (The Troll-King of Chatsitea.)

Hello, IvanTih;

Thanks for your welcome.

The "Gwar" to which you refer comes-out as an unclean piece of reading, and therefore the meaning beyond my grasp to reach.

I will - as I must - take from your inference that "Gwar" is prone to agitation of some kind and that when a "Gwar" materializes before me on this site - probably, I'm assuming, as being named, "Gwar" - I will not upset or disturb him/her/them for the purposes of... their own safety or happy way of being, surely!

Are you sure the shuddering you experience is not due to the climate and atmosphere you're in; and as such you are really just shivering from the cold and loneliness??

Perhaps, seeing that The Troll-King of Chatsitea continues to rise as he plays is a deep-seated fear in you which causes this sudden shudder about your body and/or mind?

In any case, Shakespeare, how original, Nightwatch.

Tell me, do you think I could write a work of literature which reads so like him that I could pass it in as a forgery? A lost or forgotten work, if you will. Imagine the excitement at Sothebys or some other well-renowned international auction house with such an authentic find walking in the door. I mean, beyond the practical aspects of my finding a notebook from his time which has been left empty, and the finding of ink also from about that time?

Recent Thread List is a place you visit and shudder when you see this thread I have authored. Interesting... Sounds like an illness to me. I know a particularly good psychiatrist if you want me to pass on his details to you. He is a jew! The next-best mind doctors there are in the world, presently, in my view.

Cheers,

May I ask...? Whose, exactly, IvanTih, is the "brain" which "explodes"?

Certainly not MrNuggets151 as he has put the comment forward, and so therefore it could be said that he has got his mind around the concepts and ideas in his reply.

Not mine for having read it as I'm thinking whilst I write, and so therefore my brain is working to give my mind the ability to think in accordance.

Could it be that your own brain, or perhaps what you confuse as the mind, hasn't been capable of navigating and connecting all the necessary strands of knowledge and understanding -- to grasp MrNuggets151's comment to me? A "brain explosion", indeed.

Get a book to read and read it through to the end or its conclusion, instead of just knocking on the door of boredom, IvanTih.

Dear MrNuggets151,

What you "assume" is what I shall assume, for every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you.

Indeed, I will make an effort to "tear your post apart". I must!

However, replies or responses to tasty treats such as that which you have offerred me, need to be formulated with some patience and focus, I do believe. For you are doing a great deal in your post, aren't you sir? I mean, you may be an Imperial Guardsman or a Guards man of many and as such somewhat accurately - as you have stated - "Guards men" -- But you are essentially more than just an "Imperial Guards men" (sic) per se? No ordinary "guards men" or guardsman can bring such a level of understanding to my arena, I dare say, if done somewhat impulsively, rashly, or awkwardly - at least - in the written form. I acknowledge that you "cannot boast" for youself as being such a grand and highly-ranked player such as I...

As I stated, I cannot boast for my self being a grand highly-ranked player in your game, or the glass bead game. But your game is not quite the glass bead game is it? For seeing that you are not the Magister Ludi, or have any written proof stating that you have out-whited such Magister Ludi. Or even a person who has surpassed a Magister Ludi? There for you cannot be the master of 'The Game' but may indeed be the master of 'your game.'

For the fact that this is indeed, your game. You, Daniel Moszkowicz of Chatsitea claim that your game and the glass bead game are all one in the same. I see one problem with you 'claiming' to be the best, even though you indeed may have developed the 'ranking' system for 'the game.' The grandest in 'The Game' is always the Magister Ludi, with much said we still have no proof stating that you indeed, are the grand-master of "The Game.' For even though this game from Chatsitea, is now taking place here on Dakka, somewhere right now there is someone else claiming to be the one and only 'Magister Ludi'. Perhaps you may be lost on your quest to become the 'Magister Ludi'?

Dear MrNuggets151,

Your first paragraph characterizes your appearance on the scene as a folksy, backslapping good 'ld boy - fondly recognizing me as someone who ventures to the same places and sees the same people as you yourself. There are certainly a lot of doors to choose from, aren't there, sir?

It is important for me to yield some honour your way in return, by referencing how you struck me, initially. Thanks!

My request is only ever inferred sir, making it no less real in its existence, however. For what kind of master Troll would I be - and could I reasonably call myself - if I just found a comfortable cave for myself and avoided confrontation with all the great many challengers out here? I am the Troll-King of Chatsitea within the Theatre Cordillera, exactly because I invite such a level of combat with my appearance. I do not shirk a dual, and I do not consider anyone a lesser player than me from the outset. I wrested my title, and affixed the highest-ranking by facing any and all opposition before me, over countless engagements and through more than a few websites, I must admit. (Websites which tend to ban my brilliance on the basis of impolite behaviour in polite company. Hard truths are hard to handle, but I repack my bundle and continue my journey to someplace new.) So yeah, I have standards and they're high, but I also have points. And the point I have sharpened for this delightful occasion is the one which doesn't confuse between character and persona, and this or that idea in a film, to name just two.

I have never seen the film titled, "Moon". Simply hearing you mention the name of the robot suggests to me that it's an uninspiring offering, where it appears that the screenwriter missed the opportunity to properly attribute meaning to his robot by calling him 'Qwerty' over "Gerty" ...As the "G" is out of place with the "erty" reference in relation, both on the keyboard, and with the meaning of what robots seem to do naturally. Naturally robotically that is. We may share "a lot" of similarities, but I simply cannot get excited by this suggestion and in fact find it a little hard to consume. Additionally, when I think of titles in film, literature, or music, with the word "Moon" I must admit that I prefer, "Those two that stole the moon." An obscure but published book-title you will experience some difficulty in finding on the www...

Ha-ha!

Then again, there are some similarities between me and characters of popular offerings coming out of Hollywood nowadays in both television and cinema. One t.v. show in particular is doing things quite well (that is to say the writers are), but I find autistic characters a little boring when they're not being celebrated as the true savants they are by those around them. Then again, laughs are easier to garner or get, when there is conflict as mirth. In any case, it's not surprising that similarities both young and old should exist at all, as my persona is modelled around an area of combat which - as you would know - began nearly seventy years ago, and which I am constantly imagining.

You may be "disinclined" to accept my request inferred, suggesting you have higher and more important things to do with your time. Even going so far as inferring that your place in the contest - which takes place in the arena of my imagining - is unsuitable for you unless you are facing a Magister Ludi, or Master of The Game. Ha-ha! Yeah, good one. Next you'll probably be entertaining fanciful thoughts of who that master should materialize as, and who you would choose as your representation, whether Ludi Magister Josephus the 3rd or Magister Ludi. I guess, your choice would be heavily influenced by your level or capability of swimming in real life, to suggest but one influencing factor.

So yes, I may be inspiring for you, and perhaps you have even experienced a little chuckle at my efforts so far, but your story like your credibility is sinking quickly, for you have hardly avoided my place of business. In fact, you have avoided it so profoundly that you saught to mark your difficult and awkward third paragraph with an edit deserving a star, to look like this: "*Edit." A star (*) which you seem to think is somehow deserving of closer scrutiny, like pointing the way for the good bit or stretch to come. A star (*) which should somehow belong on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, perhaps. Or is it perhaps that it represents a star (*) which is too slick for you to handle and pin down with any real measure or sense of accomplishment.

Since a conclusion is called for, I shall give it in a worthwhile presentation: You may be correct in vaguely assuming that the "grandest game master" of The Game is the "one who calls him self" (sic) "the 'Magister Ludi'." But, you neglect to notice that by my attributing this form of master Trollship to myself as a master Troll (see "abovetopsecret.com" for an example of this in my Introduction thread, after perhaps typing "Troll-King of Chatsitea" into the preeminent "Google".) and in fact, The Troll-King (of the initial and primary chat site in the chat-city this whole internet business has largely become), I am bringing a whole new meaning and value of what it is to be a Troll on the internet and in so doing vanquishing the common, standard, and prominent troll definitions found almost everywhere. A sweet form of justice for all the name-calling and banishments I experienced in the beginning of this brilliant journey I have undertaken. So you see, I am willing to lay my persona on the altar of the cult of personality like none and never before me in The Game. Who may testify to such an achievement, I dare ask?

Also, Glass Beads are mine to control when it's my turn to use them; they don't control me after I select them from Hesse's felt bag. Just like your Imperial Guard minatures don't control you when they're on the table and you at eye-level with them. My emotions are in check as I continue to make sense. My thoughts are not getting away from me in a manner which would suggest I am just rambling along in order to somehow contain all I want to say as fast as I want to say it. You know, like you did, a little, did a little like this you did when you did it, above. No Umpire necessary, I'm quite sure. I could vanquish you on the grounds of this if I gave it more thought, but you don't deserve that for you have brought something, which whilst intially difficult to identify with any ease, is present and you do manage to come across with some identity. This... The Game, "The Glass Bead Game" - one and the same is not "my" game, just like W40K isn't your game, per se. It may indeed be your game when you invite your friend over to play a game with your IG army pitted against his something different likely army, but you are playing a game of someone elses inception: Rick Priestly is his name. So, The Game is only "my" game when you remember that it takes place in an arena of my imagining with my appearance, like your game with your friend is only your game when you present the new board which you have developed for a suitable contest in your own home.

I will take your "linguist" "scholar" and "teacher" attributes as fine badges of merit to be affixed to my serviceable tunic, for you clearly have stated that you are none of them and as such they cannot belong to you. Moreover, I will borrow your "soldier" reference, and add that I bring a level of "war" to my opposition which can never be neutralized when I am faced with - what is - an Imperial Guardsman of sorts in such an instance as this, even if he is one of an, umm, uncommon, err, brand; really. A brand dressed-up as generic type, therefore, I must conclude somewhat awkwardly. Nothing wrong with that or even doing that, mind you. Just look how many paragraphs you got from...

Daniel Moszkowicz. (The Troll-King of Chatsitea.)

P.S. I've never had an Imperial Guardsman before, I think. In any event, thanks for being the first. Now scoot along, dear fellow, for you have nothing to "boast" about, with your own admission, and well, no point to remain in this contest for a second turn.

Ha-ha!

P.S.2. I hope you have gotten something from your appearance here with me, I certainly have had a fun time with you. Let's hope your mastery of pushing forward your IG army is a little more accomplished. Try 'Prepared Assault' and/or 'War of Attrition' and/or 'Trench Warfare' for practice if you need it, in that particular arena of contest, as they're three suitable 'Battle Missions' with... advantage IG army.

Ha-ha!

Yeah, by the way, they're giving away "Magister Ludi" certificates at your usual polling booth for a couple of bucks. Stand clear when you purchase them.

I don't need to bother as I have a letter from Wisdom stating said accomplishment, I'm sure. It reads in opening, dear...

Hi Vindicator#9,

That's the spirit, sir. I shall raise my glass flagon to another 7+ pages. Why not, I'm here already and a fair dent has been made.

However, how interesting the reading becomes will have a lot to do with the calibre of discussion other members on this fine site will bring with their welcome.

Incidentally, do you remember the subject header of the 10+ one, per chance?

Round of Clinking Glasses (RoCG),
