Thanks again for the support guys I am just glad I hadn't found this out after doing the legs. That really would have been a pain

TBH The feet is 60% of the work; gettnig the joints of the legs is another 20% and the rest of the model is actually fairly straight forward and most time consumption than intricate head banging annoying blood pressure rising agonizing ... I could go on for a bit on this but needless to say; the primary hull, torso, and head were actually the fun parts of the warhound to build. Again go with the honey comb and back cut peices to make everything straight and square.

Problem is, its hard to not start at the feet because it helps dictate the size of the peice that attaches to it, and than to that, and than to that, and than... well you get the idea.

Did you make it to the hobby shop to pick out the tube and rod for your pistons yet?

"Straight Fething Silver" Tanith first and only

I have a reputation, Modile, a reputation as a fair, honest man who treats his soldiers well and supports them in the face of darkness. Potentially, that reputation makes me soft. It seems I understand failure and forgive it. Some, like Kowle, believe me to be a weak commissar, not prepared to take the action my rank demands. Not prepared to enforce field discipline where I see it failing. I am an Imperial commissar. I will enflame the weak, support the wavering, guide the lost. I will be all things to all men who need me. But I will also punish without hesitation the weak, the incompetent, and the treasonous.
I am a Commissar. I am empowered to deliver justice wherever I see it lacking. I am empowered to punish cowardice. I am granted the gift of total authority to judge, in the name of the Emperor, on the field of combat.

Thanks comisarmilo but progress will be slow for the next few weeks unfortunately.

It occurred to me, having built a few of these, that positioning the legs doesn't have to be as hard as it seems. I always built up to the waist with one leg and then built the second leg to fit. The important part of this is proping the waist up on something, a stack of paint pots or a jar or something. You do have to come up with a basic pose first but getting one leg done and in position defiantly makes the second one easier. Also don't make your warhound stand up too straight because it will look silly and we cannot have silly here.

Thanks for the advice Siegemaster I was not sure about the positioning I was going to go for. What I do have is an old chaos dread however which I could add to the titan's base as I think this would give it more stability and allow for some drama. also had a look at the siegeworld site. There must be some pretty intense battles there I guess. Shame I live too far away to take part

I find a base is very helpful for stability. A lot of people argue about the role of bases and titans but frankly with some thing like a warhound it just helps make a more dynamic model. Are you thinking of your warhound stepping on the Chaos Dread? That sounds like it would be very cool help give the model some life.

Siegeworld Games are always lots of fun. Hell any game is fun when it involves multiple reactor meltdowns.

That was what I was thinking I think I may need to disassemble the dread though but not sure. Any ideas? Also I think I will try and get the dread painted decently as thousand sons. Bit more fluffy that way

Ok my first exam is this week and by the end of next week I will have done half of them. I then have 1 week of holiday which I will make some progress in. After that I have the rest of my exams over 3 weeks. Then I am on holiday until September so I promise to get this done in the free time I have.

Oh yeah forgot to say. All toes are now plasticarded now

Well I have an important announcement to make. The teacher I was saying about has finally found the time to turn up at the club and grant me access to the CAM machine provided I pay for the materials and seeing as I break up in just under a month and then I can go in to school if I really want to I could go in and get the templates I'd need done and next year if this project goes well I think I will try my luck at a warlord.

Every project needs a good foundation, and these toes are it! Take your time, it is YOUR PRIDE AND JOY! And exams, of course, have to be first, even The Emperor knows that! But when they're done, you know good old Solorg will be waiting in the wings to see how this titan turns out.
