At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |

He only got like 2 or three miles down the road but he was going so fast he got stopped by a cop. We found out yesterday I went to pick up some paints and the witness was another store owner she called the cops because she was outside on a smoke break and saw what happened. So he's got his coming to him and Steve the store owner filed a report he's being charged with reckless driving for almost hitting the person in the parking lot excessive speed unlawful destruction of property and something else that was just a minor charge in the end hearing that made up for it. He wont be in jail for to long but long enough to teach him something.
If this is all true, I'd say thats justice

The hobby draws creative and artistic people, as well as social misfits. Your buddy should of quit the game if the guy was not playing with his Tau codex or with the 40k rulebook. At least you will not see him for awhile as he lays low.

So general loltastic nerdrage thread is a go?
I think I said this before, but I was having a rules argument with a very small, skinny, nerdy kind of guy, he was around 22 if I'm not mistaken.
Literally, he made up a rule, he actually had the nerve to come up to me on my side of the table, and show me a paragraph that said something completely different. He told me that if the Side Armour is higher than the rear armour, he gets to use the side armour or some bs.
I said to him, literally, "How autistic are you?"
He freaked out, and attempted to punch me (it was kind of weird, he threw his arm back to think of slapping me, and then he kind of balled it, it was weird) and I caught it in my hand. I was kind of in shock at that time at what was happening, I don't really expect to be attacked at a Games Workshop of all places.
So I basically fit my whole hand around his neck, and held his arm behind his back, and threw him on the ground outside.
He ran to the parking lot, and drove away.
The store manager basically told me to leave so if it evolved into anything else, he could say that the banned me from the store or something, and gave me a free box of mini's of my choice for the trouble.
My GW is terrible with people, you would understand if you heard a few of my other happening at my GW....

This story sounds a little too far-fetched to be honest...
I hate to say this, but I agree.
I've seen some pretty heated arguments over the gaming table over the years, but never a total chimp out like that described by the OP. Sorry, but the story is a bit OTT to be credible.
More importantly, I'm pretty active in the Austin 40k scene and have never heard about this. If this had occured at one of the three LGSs in Austin that have in store 40k gaming, I'm pretty certainly I would have. Certainly, had something of this sort occured it would be a bit topic of discussion on the Austin area gamer's forum I read on a daily basis. Needless to say it's not.
Sorry, but I call BS on this one.

I have seen a guy go that nuts, but it wasn't over a game being played. It involved about a dozen people confronting a guy about stealing minis. He freaked out and thrashed the tables nearby to try to distract everyone as he "ran" away.
Waddle is a better term than run, due to this guy's amazing FAT.
He is perma-banned from the entire chain of my FLGS.

More importantly that knowing the law is knowing how to be a decent person and a responsible community member. If you do the latter, you really don't have to worry about knowing the law. (OK, some laws are still important to know, but you don't have to worry so much about the laws regarding interpersonal conflict).
I've been rather amazed in the past by how people react to even minor kindnesses, especially when they're angry. It's really tough to suck it up (my pride and ego are ridiculous, so I know), but if you take the time to open a dialogue and show some understanding to someone who's confronting you, you can quickly and easily defuse situations and even improve someone's outlook in the long run. Most angry people (including me; there are certain minor infractions that make me disproportionately upset) get that way because they feel isolated and that people don't understand/respect/care about them. If you show that you do care enough to make a go at seeing it their way, and helping them through the situation, there's a good chance you can turn things around rather quickly. And THAT'S a really good feeling right there.
This whole thing is based on the fact that humans are social creatures. There will always be exceptions, but it's worth a shot.

Not getting laid = fustration
fustration = going nuts and hulking out.
hulking out = jailtime
jailtime = bubba gets you when you drop the soap.
As you can see playing alot 40k leads to this horrible outcome. Honest.
Only saw one fight in a GW store about 15 years ago and that was 12 year olds, over something stupid.

Also, that is what he was referring to.

That wasn't me, it was BloodDrop101X. I currently have no warrents for my arrest, thanks very much.
What, exactly, makes the resolution rediclious? None of my tables were flipped mid-game.
Is everyone not taking the time to read my post, and actually thinking I slammed this guy through a tanle full of CSMs? If so, its no big deal, I often just skim through the forumz when I'm short on time.
