how many points do people use for HQ choices?

You're kidding right? Everyone knows that Eldar can't play in 3,000 point games unless they take Eldrad.

In 3,000 we usualy play 2 force org charts.
Avatar, Farseer, Farseer, Farseer (Maybe swap one seer for an Autarch)

As orks: 2X SAG Meks mean I always end up with only 200 points on 2 HQ, unless you count the upgrade SC. Then its 335 in any battle 1500+ I like Badrukk.

I usually run generic librarians or their counterparts. so about 150pts is my max per HQ slot.

1,000pts - 160pts Lucius the Eternal
1,500pts - 320pts Lucius/DP or Lucius/Sorcerer

Just by extrapolation.

In small pt games makes not much sense as Farseers are just support characters.

I hardly ever use special characters unless I made them myself (and only then with my opponents permision, naturally). The ones in the book don't really have the right personalities for me.

As for standard HQ choices, I just take a bare-bones choice whenever. Mine usually die really fast, so there is no point for me to put more points in them.
