I have bought a lot of stuff just for the joy of painting it.

- Abaddon.
- Kharn the Betrayer.
- Mephiston.
- Dante.
- Corbulo.
- Captain Tycho (x2, to be painted in golden armour and black armour)
- Tyranid War vets. One unpainted, the other is being converted just for fun.
- Eltharion in gryphon.
- The Green Knight.
- Battle Brother Artemis (INQ)
- Inquisitor Eisenhorn (INQ)
- Some random Reaper minis.
- Wood Elves Blood Bowl team.
- Escher gang (box + 2 blisters)

I never played Blood Bowl nor Necromunda, and I probably never will... but I would like. For the armies I have... yes, I have useless units.

- BT: command squad. Also I have 5 HQ (plastic kit captain, 2 chaplains, Helbrecht and Grimaldus). I have never field them together.

- DE: 10 hellions (used a couple of times), Kruellagh (never used her), 2 boxes of scourges (I wanted to be able to field 4 cannons or 4 DL, not interested in a mix, used a couple of times too). I have 2 Talos that I would like to use, but the metal kit is a pain in the ass to build. 12 reaver jetbikes (six full plastic, 2x3 plastic with metal bits boxes). Never needed to field that many jetbikes. Also I haven't used very much Urien, my 2 haemonculi and their 9 grotesques.

- WoC (WFB): Metal Daemon Prince. Bought in year 2000 in Amsterdam. Never used in battle.

Well, also my Infinity minis are unnecessary as long as I still haven't played the game. But I will!

Edit:

- LOTR: fellowship box (the first box that came out back in the day), Glorfindel, Elladan and Elrohir.

A full set of those screwcapped GW paints.
Recently I decided to check how many had dried up, and before I had checked half of them I had enough confidence to open the things upside down, over my head, while looking straight into them, including the ones which I positively knew I had never opened before.

"ANY" includes the special ones

It would have to be a collection of resin bases I bought, because I can't find two of them and the third one is not going to get used for it's intended purpose anytime soon :(

I'm not keen on the salamander command myself - I think the salamander scout looks better (in the middle of painting two at the moment)

Not the vehicle, just the actual Heavy Flamer - it is massive, amazingly details. The scout vehicle looks better, but i didnt think it had the flamer?

The only differences between the two are that the command one has the back of the compartment open and the command one has the heavy flamer rather than the autocannon.

Well, this isn't a regret, per se, but it fits nicely with the theme.

About a year and a half ago, I wanted a land raider. I went on Ebay, and found decent prices on them. There was very little time left, so I bid on 3 different ones - they were around $30-35 for boxed completes, if I remember. I figured I'd keep an eye on the auctions at the very end, whichever one was still significantly under retail, I'd try and score.

Sure enough... I won every single one. Although I did get a pretty decent deal on them with combined shipping, the bottom line is I wanted to try and get a single LR for less then $40, and wound up with 3 for $105ish.

Bonus points: none of them have been assembled yet, let alone painted.
