Subject: Debate on how to assign combat drugs to Lelith Hesperax

Can you assign wounds to your retinue of zero for wound allocation? I sort of feel there's a solid difference between zip, zero, nada, and none so that should be at least 4 needed wounds before I need to assign to Lelith, right?

Not to worry though, Dark Eldar are going to be next, with their Melta Lances and 3 Point Wyches!
3pts!!!! I was told 2 by a red shirt!! Or are they 3pts and now coming with melta fists and power bombs?!?
Yes, but not only that, they get Multilazors!
You'll never guess who was brought in to write the codex!
I heard they were Assault 3, Ordnance, Large Blast, too....
And wyches are gonna get FNP, 4+ Inv, and poisoned rending.

LOL. Enjoy those bad boys while they last! Personally, I can't wait for the new codex and all the loopholes and combos that will emerge thanks to GW's fear of consistent language standards for their rules. Wyches not being wyches, special rules intermittently applied depending on semantics and interpretation, GREAT STUFF!

She gets no drugs solo.
She gets no wych dodge.
And to top it off - she has no plasma grenades so she will be striking at initiative "1" when she is charging into cover too (unless other conditions exist to allow initiative order). Even if she takes a retinue, unless she takes "always strike first" drug she will hitting targets at initiative "1" while her retinue with the plasma grenades get to strike in initiative order - very embarrassing striking the same time as power fists.
Why don't you explore taking a Dracon (with Incubi) into Lelith's Wych Army - remember, Lelith does not command a Wych Cult, she commands a Wych Army according to the wording in the codex and that appears to not be the same.
If you are going to explore the wonders of easter egg hunting in an old codex you might as well go for broke.

IMO, she should get whatever drugs she joins...but unfortunately that wouldn't hold up against GW's amazing ability to clearify their own rules.
Guess I'm going to start playing my RJBs as STR5 T5 instead of STR4 T4 right? The Eldar Jetbike rule tells us to add +1S and +1T to jetbikes. And you shouldn't ever argue when I pin your fearless units, because RAW...the horrorfex does it. =p Maybe I should stop picking and choosing RAW to be fair and just pick the RAW camp.
This.
After playing you several times, and seeing a few of these polls pop up, I think you should pick a side of the fence and get over there. You argue RAI when it helps your army, and you argue RAW when it helps your army. To me, that is way too selective. You shouldn't take the stance that helps you regardless of the stupidity of the argument, you should be on one side or the other. For example, you complained about us using the INAT because it disallowed the Nightmare Doll for the roll to go first. You wanted to use the RAI in that instance. But that is in fact RAW. The measurement thing that we have been over and over, is a RAW thing, but a lot of folks agree that it probably was not the intent. However, you argued that it was RAW and you used it. Same for Lelith, RAW says no Drugs without retinue, but you have used, and would like to use her as RAI.
Basically, pick a camp and move there.

its a little wierd but here is how i see this working.
if lelith starts the game with a retinue, you pick the drug for the squad and it applies to the whole squad including lelith, and even if the retinue is destroyed she keeps the combat drug effect as the combat drug entry says it lasts for the duration of the battle.
Raw : she chooses the drugs for the retinue
FAQ : she is affected by the retinues drugs
raw : she keep that for the battle and doesnt change.
if she doesnt start the game with a retinue she gets no combat drugs as the faq only addresses her retinue not her in a unit of wyches which makes her the only wych in the universe without combat drugs. and the only wych that doesnt have the 4+ inv save either guess she never misses her 2+ shadown field and forgot how to dodge.
so lesson here is take the retinue with lelith.
I'm not sure what to vote here as both option 3 and 4 are correct.
she gets the drugs of her retinue, and not the drugs of a non retinue.

Well it a;most deals with it by saying "otherwise she would be the only Wych in the army (and probably in the universe) not to use combat drugs." which seems to suggest there is no way for her to not take drugs
