I've been working on a Chaos Obliterator that I was hoping to have ready for the Boston Brawl painting contest, but only finished it today. Here are some before & after shots:

I love the conversion on that baby!!

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

where am I? *looks around* Well i'm...errr...I...I...don't know!

why is there a cobweb inside? Otherwise it looks really good! Althoguh the aquila below the pilot looks a little dull...maybe a small highlight would fix that...

Mack - I really like your Obliterator! You really captured the essence there. Love your collections - your work ethic is impressive!

Some random projects I'm working on before the summer ends & two other big jobs begin:

I'm converting my IG army into an all Kasrkin / Veteran list. I have about 3 squads done plus these almost done. Heavy but cool looking. They will probably come out in Finecast just when I finish.

Then there's these Black Templars I'm painting for someone else.

And this for my high school games club:

I like where your IG army is headed Mack. Can you post a group photo of this army again with your new stuff? Ive always wanted to upgrade my IG army - this is just the motivation I need. I like your IG and Ork armies the best, mainly due to affiliation and personal preferences of armies. Reading your thread makes me regret getting rid of my first-ever 40k armiy, Space Wolves.

Progress on fortress:

This was just before I scrubbed off the layer of Tin Bitz in order to reveal the orangy color underneath.

Kaiser- here's my IG as of August 2011. I sold off my Cadians & Vendetta & like this army much more because I never really liked setting up all those platoons. It was just too much for me to keep straight & I never like having models I don't play with... weird I know, but I like to use every model in an army.

Now the IG feel more like an inquisitor's private army which is what they always were in my mind. I'm still hoping to sell off the heavy weapon squads. And maybe add in another Vendetta; I miss it already.

And some test Blood Angels for Artex:

The free hand on the top of this rhino is sick; I'm very happy with it.

I should admit it was traced from a picture. That's as free as my free hand gets at this point. But I'm still proud of it.

Finished the Blood Angels rhino, but not before some disappointments. When I went to seal it, the sealer foamed up & left me with snowflakes all over the top of the model. I threw a small hissy fit, but whattadyagonna do??

Pre-foam:

Post foam:

prefoam I was very happy with how the top edges popped from the orange airbrushing, but post foam I just highlighted by brush. Not as happy with it, but I think I pushed my luck as far as its gonna go with this one.

The free hand work on the Rhino is just awesome. It makes me want to by another vehicle just to try some free hand. Your work is inspirational.

There is really too much good stuff to quote from! I especially liked the multi-bastion for your school. It looks great, but is it really good as terrain? It looks HUGE!

Keep up the great work!

Think I'm just about finished with this army for a friend, but still need to run it past him.

I did a little bit more after these photos like the aquilla on the front of the stormraven.

I have not begun on your building panels yet; I've gone from client job to client job. The Fortress of Redemption was followed by the BAs above & now I need to paint a Dreadfleet set for another person. And I'm waiting on inspiration for the next terrain piece.

Oh woops- the BAs posted above are the latest, but I am presently building four other armies that I'll start painting soon. I'll also post Dreadfleet photos once I start on that project sometime soon.
