But that sounds awesome~! Needs a really really annoying thunder and lightning crash whenever you hit someoen with it too

That's almost like getting spat in the face by GW. "Hey, thanks for being a loyal customer long enough to be a pro at the game. Here's a piece of paint cardboard. It took our eavy metal team like a half hour to design it. See you next year!" Needless to say, I'd be pretty offended. That gun would immediatly go on eBay so I can try to recoup all the money I lost out on. xD

Shame the winning army wasn't fully painted, there's not that many figures, you'd think there was enough time before hand to make them look respectable.

When I've seen photos from some of the tournaments on the GW site you get some lovely armies, it's hardly a good advert for the hobby when the tournament winner has a half modelled army which is a shame because the finished models look good.

A tournament should be a celebration of the game in some way, but when it ends up looking like a Saturday afternoon club it just reinforces the belief that these events are for WAAC players rather than more rounded hobbyists.

I agree, but I'm also guilty of doing the same.

Except this is 'Ard Boyz. It is specifically a WAAC event. Not to say that I wouldn't have appreciated a pretty army winning (I painted all of mine before 'AB and made a display board, etc.) but the event specifically says it is not a 'Hobby Event' and is just a battle tourney

Note: there are no painting, composition, or sportsmanship scores at ‘Ard Boyz tournaments.

and whats worse in the earlier rounds I plyed against some armies that were not even wysiwyg. Any feedback on the show would be great.
