Maybe so, but then again I can think of several models who appears not to be moving, no?

True (AOBR Space Marines) Personally I think that the eldar really need new models. They are almost all metal and the ones that arent metal are not very posable Save the Wraithlords. However I think that GW is moving in the right direction with the newer models. So there is hope!

Definitely! Also, considering that the Dark Eldar codex got the Voidraven and razorwing, along with the imperium having Stormravens, valkyries and vendettas, I wouldn't be surprised if the next Eldar codex had Phoenixes and Nightwings!

Working on the Wraithlord right now, but have not came long with it.
So... This is how the scratchbuild looks right now: (I have started working on a sword)

Hmm... You may have a point, actually, maybe it isn't a that good idea to sell it on the internet... Oh well... I guess I'll wait and see...

In any case - here's the WIP wraithlord. Not completely sure though if some more parts should be blue, maybe the back-spine-thingymajiggys and the shoulderpads should be.

@Foxtale: Thanks, that is appreciated.

@Tyrolean: Well, I guess you might be happy when you see this:
Because the parts of my Space Elf Seer Apprentice is finished!

All Space Elf Seer Apprentice's have hoods. That makes them significantly different from Games Workshop's Eldar Warlocks.

Looking good. are you considering having the hood longer at the back? the perspective I get from the pic makes it look like a nuns head dress almost.

I agree with Knightly. THe hood does need to be a tad bit longer in the back. That being said the rest of this model is looking fantastic! I can not wait to see this guy finished up!

Hm, I suppose you have a point there. I have put the head on the body now, and I really feel there is something missing at the neck. I could either make the hood longer, add some kind of collar to the enck or make longer hair. What sounds best?

My option would be a high collar, if you make the hood longer it may look like any other warlock with a hood.

Update! Here's how the Wraithlord is coming up:

Cannot paint the white parts yet, but will tomorrow, I will buy Vallejo white foundation then. I am seriously tired of trying to use GW:s white colour.

Here's also the finished Shining Spear Exarch (very happy with it's Star Lance):

I can also tell you that I am seriously considering starting a Dark Eldar army, especially because of the Scourges and the Razorwing Jetfighters. What name to you think sounds best for a Kabal?
The Kabal of the Abyssal Darkness (Dark blue with red details)
The Kabal of the Shadow Phoenix (Black with green details, perhaps in a flame pattern)
The Kabal of the Tempestuous Night (Dark blue with liht blue details, perhaps in a lightning pattern)

Or, The Kabal of the Fiend Hamster?

Awesome ice blue on the Wraithlord! and the teal is looking pretty cool as well.

Is the star lance stock standard or did you convert it?

My vote would be for The Kabal of the Shadow Phoenix

The Star Lance is converted from the lance of the HE Prince on Dragon (bought one to convert to a chaos dragon).

Join the true path!

Here's two more Howling Banshees. I am currently in a kill team campaign so I thought I should paint every model in it (though I regret a bit what units I chose for it - 6 banshees and 3 jetbikes).

I will finish the wraithlord tonight, I promise!

No, I didn't finish the Wraithlord as I promised, but at least I finished the white of it, so there is only the details left. It's something, at least!

Not sure though how much different it is here from the earlier pics, but, well...

Loving the pose of that Wraithlord. That spear (glaive? Naginata?) looks quite meaty. I may have to borrow that idea in the future, just because it adds character.

that wraithlord looks fantastic. The pose and colours really capture the elegant way the eldar fight aswell as adding some agression.

@moonshine & xXH0LYCRUSAD3Xx: Thanks both!

@DarkStarSabre: I'd say it is a glaive or maybe a halberd. The new Wraithseer has one as well, though that one is a bit more decorated.

@Luther: I basecoated it with Astronomican grey and then leyered up to Vallejo Foundation White. And despite all that, still hard to do... I must say, I am glad I won't have to paint such large areas of white more.
