I have a bass called a Tokai Hard Puncher. I put a piece of masking tape over "hard" and wrote "face" on it. It is now 1000% more awesome.

I have been playing guitar for 17 years and only own 1 guitar at the moment. A Fender telecaster(mexican). I am wanting a deluxe Strat, with an ash body and maple neck. Love the chunky #2 pickup position.

I have never been one of those that collect many guitars so I generally try to keep my collection at around 1 or 2 electric... with an acoustic for emergencies.

A lot of my musician friends have rooms full of guitars and gear. I have just never been one to collect guitars. I guess I feel that I only really "need" a few, and the others basically become dust collectors.

Yeah some of them do definitely become dust collectors, but it's nice to have backup if you are in the middle of doing something and you bust a string. I hate restringing a guitar midway through recording something, and for stage, it's an absolute necessity because the show must go on. Mostly they just collect dust, all but my primary guitar and bass. But it sure is nice to have the backup girls around because you always break a string or short out at the least opportune moment.

Retroactively applied infallability is its own reward. I wish I knew this years ago.

I'm both chaotic and orderly. I value my own principles, and am willing to go to extreme lengths to enforce them, often trampling on the very same principles in the process. At best, I'm heroic and principled; at worst, I'm hypocritical and disorderly.

Until recently I also had a Fender electric XII and a Fender Starcaster (the vintage variety not the recent low cost fender starter strat-type guitar) but I had to sell them to pay some bills...

Thats my main electric, I have a beginners electric aswell (Peavey strat model), and a Campfire acoustic (sucky name, but very nice guitar).

EDIT: And if I had money, and found myself worthy, I'd like to own a G&L Rampage.

Counting mine and my brothers since we had a community pool. These are just ownes we've owned, not ones we still own. The partial list of waht comes to mind:

John Petrucci Music Man Signature
59 Les Paul - dark cherry finish, super sweet
Various Les Paul/Strat clones
Comanche with Z pickups, can't remember more about it
Oldskool Ovation
Martin acoustic, supposedly stolen from Eric Clapton at the air port and backed up by the serial number being promotional and not recognized but grain of salt nonetheless

DeArmond basses, before they were bought out. Had a few 4 and 5 strings.
Warwick 5 string, whatever their main line is
Hohner 5 string (my favorite of all that I had, but it got stolen)
Fretless one at some point. Really can't remember much about it.

My biggest rig was a Carvin cab and SWR head with both tube and Solid State settings. TONS of EQ and frequency filtering options on there, I remember I could make it sound like anything.

That's what sticks out but there was so much more.

Edit: For what it's workth I've got a 70's model Kasino bass amp (very early solid state so it's massive) and a California strat clone that's had the hell modded out of it. I got both off Craigslist and actually bartered harmonica lessons for the former My bro has something with humbuckers that I can't recall and a fairly large Orange amp.

It was the most easy to play guitar I have ever owned (great low action) and a great tone. Mine looked exactly like this:

I regretted selling it minutes after I did so...

I heard thru the grapevine that the guy from Radiohead ended up buying it from the collector I sold it to, but I can't confirm that...

I have an Epiphone SG Prophecy EX

Ebony Fretboard
EMG 81/85's
Satin Neck
Beautiful Finish

aka, my ideal guitar.

My next purchase will probably be

An Agile Interceptor Pro 625. Sure it's got a similar finish, and the same pickups, but it has a tremolo and looks awesome! I'll probably invest in some Seymour Duncan Blackouts and put them one either the Epi or the Agile just for some variety.

If you couldn't tell, my favorite color on guitars is black and black.

Bass guitars for me. I have some crappy basses I picked up from various pawn shops and whatnot, but the one I'm really proud to own is my Ibanez SR5006E Prestige. I ing love Ibanez though, the necks are a dream to play. I'll get some pics up soon, two of my basses are covered in stickers and have sharpie writing all over.

Didn't get on with guitars, I lost my pick even when playing air guitar but I am a minority in the UK in that I play the Harmonica.

I have 3 Hohners Special 20's in A, C and F and a Seydel Favourite which has a lovely tone.

I was also bought a chromatic chrometta 8 last Christmas which I really don't get on with at all but feel disrespectful if I bin it or throw it at someone.

Anyway, back to the thread, no I don't have a guitar.
