Nids would simply kill everything and harvest all the planets before moving on to the next galaxy.

Unless the emperor is reborn and it turns out the nids are like his secret army which he lost control of but now he has control again then everyone but IoM would get eaten and yeah.

That's a new one. Insane yes, but refreshing after the many claims I've heard that herald the Hive Mind as the "Fifth C'tan".

Deliverance

I actually reckon the Necrons and 'nids are gonna last to the very end. Necrons are almost immortal and 'nids adapt very quickly. Orks just reproduce fast. Humans are.. Nothing. Eldar are too little in number to rise.

The Tau... really? They travel by warp 'hopping'.Quite inefficient. if they ruled the entire galaxy, and there was a major attack (ie NIDS!!!), they couldn't get there in time. slow decay of the tau. to be replaced by an uprising of squigs...

Well, they would probably develop a better method of travel. It took humans 10,000 years after the last empire collapsed to conquor the galaxy. The imperium hasn't even fallen yet! Also, didn't they show up on Medusa? Wasn't that a planet near the EoT?

It wasn't near the EoT it had a strange warp anomaly that could slingshot a ship. It was also a campaign whcih afaik resulted in the Tau not achieving their main objective (Studying the anomaly in the hope of gaining warp tech)

The galaxy was far more badass back then. They were fighting the guys who made Orks, Eldar and Humans (to name a few). To be honest the only reason anyone is still alive is because they are all still asleep. If they all woke up then the galaxy would be buggered beyond belief. Even if they only had 1 more World Engine they would still kick most of the galaxy's ass. If not well they have an army of practically unkillable warriors so go figure...

Let's not forget the general backing of star gods as well, who actually ARE immortal but are simply contained.

I kind of figured that was a point against the Necrons being more powerful because in the past they had hundreds (?) of star gods but are now reduced to... four.

Yeah but it's the four most badass ones... kinda balances out.

I have to say that the Tyranids would never eally be "destroyed". I believe if things went sour for them, they would simply turn tail and run for another galaxy, they are creatures of instinct, not honour or religion.

Genestealers are a permant fixture of 40k for good. other biomorphs like Gaunts will end up being just another alien lifeform on many planets(Gaunts can reproduce independently of Hivefleets)

every so often, a Tyranid lifeform will get to sufficient numbers to rebuild a hivefleet and a small one will get created on that planet. then the IoM will have to kill it, cycle continues ad nausium.

I posted a poll. Interesting stuff that is being posted in the threads. I added Humanity as well cause they could rise again after the fall. As I stated before a rebirth would raise them. Would be awesome if the rebirth was from the Chaos Gods and it was someone born from Chaos to point humanity into the direction of Chaos without them knowing it. Ohhhh how exciting that would be. Even though it was kinda done before in a book for the blood angels and Sang... but it was a good story at least.

Commorragh, the Dark City

I hate to admit it, but not the Dark Eldar. They're too content to just sit in Commorragh, reveling depravity and only emerging into real space to slaughter and capture slaves.

The mutants would rise up... but then get crushed by Orks. Honestly, tho, we'll never know unless GW tells us... which they won't untill no-one plays anymore/ there isn't profit to be made.

Now, let's see, who would survive.......zombies!

Necrons will rise out of their tombs, there are systems responsible for this IIRC.
