@lighterthief: Thanks!

@Ailaros: Thanks for the tip! Hopefully, since this mini will be display only and not played with, he won't break on me. But I know what you mean. The more yellow parts that stiffened up on me were def more difficult and fragile to work with.

hey matey , just read through , your having an ambitious build , love what your doing with the c'tan , i like the thinner beak also , length is perfect , i prefer the high position wings , , i think it looks more dramatic , and the staff is a cool idea too. jsut to add my two cents , he reminds me of silent hill monsters , especiaslly triangle head
Spoiler:
, why is it every 40k race holds some massive attraction at somepoint

@neil101: Hey, bud, thanks for stopping by. Having crapped my pants to both Silent Hill 1 & 2, I'm sure that it has some influence over my thoughts. With the wings up higher, it obviously adds height but it becomes more of an issue with how the arms are placed and the flow of his robes/tabard. The strands of fabric cross in the back, which leaves a space to mount the wings straight to skin if they're lower. with them higher they actually sit on top of the cloth, which would mean I would need to almost GS robes to flow around the wing joints. I do plan to fiddle with the wings some, however. As the mock up concept at the start of the blog shows those eyes in the wings, I may attempt to achieve something similiar, which could directly impact the placement of the wings.
"why is it every 40k race holds some massive attraction at somepoint" - great question. They're all awesome in their own way. GW does a good job of providing unique fluff to their armies that keep us interested. Hence, why they're so darn reluctant to produce new armies.
