Actually, he died of cancer, he was terminal. He wanted to make one more movie before he died and he let his grandkids pick the one. They chose this one and he put everything into it.

What sucks is i was 8 when the "the Amazing Spiderman" came out. i remember watching that!

I was around that age as well when the TV show aired and thought " Hey cool Spiderman!!" at the time,Same with the Reb Brown Captain America TV Movies...strange how age can turn " Hey Cool!!" to "WTF."

i loved both those and the Hulk series/movies. not to mention the first BSG! i frakin' loved it back then. How about the Six million dollar man?!?! watching now makes me think drugs may have saved my life.....!

I still enjoy watching the old Ferigno/Bixby Hulk series and the movies,particularly the one were they take Thor to a biker bar always cracks me up.
But I agree about most of the programing from "our day",I thought it was great when I was a kid,when Battle of the Planets first showed up I was glued to the TV same with BSG,now..I watch 'em with my kids and laugh.

okay last OT. i used to haul A home to catch Star Blasers during 4th grade! and i'd heard rumors that was being done as a live action movie. seious doubt on the source, btw.
