Love them, does any one have them yet? i have 2 plans for them but for 40l though i am not too sure about their scale.

I want to know what is their arms length, are they the same as marines? i would love to use 2 axes and head to make my Mark of wulfen.

Would love to use the bare chested with their heads and arms with scout legs as "fenrisian wolves"

And i would love to use their arms for simple scouts.

So can any one stand an assembled one next to a marine and a scout please?.

Here is a comparison pic (from the aow painting forum) next to a plastic GW dwarf.

I don't have them yet, but I don't think the arms a big enough for a marine, though the chests, arms and heads would most probably fit well scouts.

Hi guys, sorry for the slight thread necro.
Just wondering if anyone has gotten these or recieved word about them yet?
I'm nervous because the RM has returned parcels to sender on me before without giving me any notice if they tried to deliver while I was in, and I'm wondering if my lovely berserkers are on the way or have come and gone already!

Wow, they look very nice. What makes it the special preorder edition? Does it have something extra compared with some upcoming normal edition version?

Cool, thanks for the quick reply! Are the extra bits only available through the company site or can you get them by ordering a box via a FLGS?

You can get them in those FLGS which have ordered the pre-order edition.

60.000 Trollslayers in the first week! Don't think that GW sold that many in total!

Now I am waiting for the next box with scantly clad evil Elven chicks with swords

Gee, if only GW had devoted their time to making quality plastic versions of more of their own minis instead of going on fansite hunting trips and inquisitorial purges of people generating interest through leaks, they could have sold even more dwarven barbarians with their much larger distribution network... Bravo, Avatars of War for putting out a very nice freshman kit!

Lokking at the sprue the beards are attached to the head, but taking those heads for Space Wolf conversions is a great idea!

Runnin up on ya.

I have the Ogre Lord from AoW and love it. If they can make plastics for each army, I'll never buy fantasy miniatures from GW again.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

I shall keep my fingers crossed for a boxed set like this for Dark Elf female dual wielding priestesses...

I'd buy a shedload, provided they were wife friendly!

Totally delighted with the product, easily the best dwarf miniatures I've ever handled.

We commissioned Golem Painitng Studio to paint one AoW plastic Berserkers regiment and here is the result. We think they have made a great job, and we'll soon post as well a 360º view of this painted regiment!

I picked up the first few AoW releases as they came out a few years ago. I didn't have the cash at the time to pre-order these guys, but 2 boxes are on my shopping list to pick up inside the next month simply due to how great they are.

Between this, the Mantic Morgoth's starter box and an old Dwarf regiment I picked up to make into Squats and then never did, I guess I'm building a Dwarf army. Not bad considering I don't play any big-battle fantasy games....

Very little in contemporary Fantasy is, these days. There's only so many variations on 'Dwarf' that you can make and still have it be recognisable as an archetypical Dwarf.

These make up for any lapse in originality through being quality sculpts, though.

I could be wrong about the heritage of the Slayers, but they seem to be the most original thing that GW has introduced to fantasy Dwarfdom. I think the notion that there's "little new in contemporary fantasy" doesn't really apply here. They wanted to produce a very recognisable GW unit in plastic and they did. There's no lapse of originality, because there was no attempt at originality.

They look excellent, I feel that they are bizarrely niche, especially for a first plastic regiment, but they do look excellent.

Barechested dwarves with axes, tatoos, orange mohawks, wjo have sworn an oath to die in battle because of some trangression known only to them...-um, probably not in the public domain

It's the difference between a story about some fantasy heroes trying to destroy an evil artifact, and a story about an elf, a dwarf, a secret prince, a warrior and four halflings trying to destroy an evil ring that turns you invisible.

That being said, good stuff!

I wish them nothing but success and strongly suggest they make their next plastic project Female Sci Fi Warrior Priestess with Guns and Skull Bras.

Kyoto, they stoped at "Barechested dwarves witth axes and tatoos"
I dont hope for sic Fi Warrior Priestes with guns and skull brass (yo know, those are in the IP of someone out there). Instead, they can do sci-fi female armoured warriors with big guns, maybe tailored around Joana Darc history and feats.

But anyway, that is a BIG ideia Kid_Kyoto, and i hope someone at AoW read that... I would pay premium prices for those, specially they not beying GW

If my post show some BAD spelling issues, please forgive-me, english is not my natural language, and i never received formal education on it...
