I wondered about that - I think Sweet Pea is she narrates and its partly (fully?) her story?
Although I guess she could also represent another side of BD and her "escape" is only a dream way of coping with the Labotomy?
I think there is a lot to the film which many have missed............

"I will admit that some Primachs like Russ or Horus could have a chance against an unarmed 12 year old novice but, a full Battle Sister??!! One to one? In close combat? Perhaps three Primarchs fighting together... but just one Primarch?" da001
The film is a deconstruction of the action girl genre. When you think about it, what are movies like Tomb Raider, really? Titillation. In other words, not too different from a striptease. The battle scenes are what we see in action girl movies, and the bordello/strip joint is what we're actually seeing. The asylum is where women are more or less trapped due to their portrayal in the media.
Anyone know a Uk supplier - I got hammered for import last time and doubled my costs.. :(
The powered armour suit would just be amazing - I'd use over the standard Tau suits

It would be nice to see all the figs, but I feel these figs aren't up to what I would want in sculpts. They seem half done for some reason. Maybe just too many really good minis out there, and these kind of pale in comparison. I like they are doing them from the movie....
Spoiler
Spoiler:
My take on it, but there are so many different perspectives. But after her step-father killed her sister (it was not her shot that did it), she had a break from reality. Whether this was after before or after the asylum I'm not sure. But each person was a personality of hers. Each world a little more safe for her. As you notice, as it goes deeper, asylum, brothel, fantasy worlds, each becomes a little less dangerous, and her more powerful. She has become insane, and this is how she copes. There are so many cues and oddities throughout the movie that just make you think more. But to me each personality gives a tool to survive, and lead to her (Sweet Pea) escaping.
I watched it twice with different groups, and after the first viewing you start seeing so much symbolism scattered in the movie. Then you pick up on things like the music running throughout, songs like "Army of Me". The movie really is as deep as you want it to be. I compare it a lot in thematic elements to "Brazil", but with so many more cool visuals. It's a neat movie, but I think you take away from it what you put into it.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.
Those "Not " Suckerpunch girls would go great in there with that Riech of the Dead stuff.
Get yourself a couple of 54MM Samuri and put a chaingun on them, and there you go.
Get yourself any number of mechs from other ranges, put a bunny on the front, and into Riech of the Dead you go.....
Boom, Roasted.
At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.
Was Werner Klocke not available? or whoever sculpts for Infinity?
Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright that The Emperor may love thee. Speak the truth always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong. That is your oath.
There's also a new Patrick Keith "anime heroine" listing in the previews section, but as they've managed to mess the pictures up I've no idea what it looks like. Will let you know when it gets resolved...
Look good, i'll be getting "not Sgt Rock" some good looking replacements.

Anyway, there's a hot load of subtext for you.
It was a typical Zach Snyder movie. Good like a pretzle, but not as calerie filled. Honestly? I saw it and forgot it five minutes later.
It will be up in the 5.00 bin in a month or two alongside "Watchmen".

As bad as Sucker Punch was (Awful beyond words) I am still not surprised to see "not" models of the girls. Some of the design elements in the film were cool when taken separate from the film it's self. Such as giant robo demon samurai....
It was like someone gave a 12 year old boy a few million dollars to do a film with and promised not to tell his mom.
I am all for a movie about mini skirts but by the time the dragon part showed up, I was ready to claw my eyes out....it was just so bad....want...life...time...back...lol.
Oh and on the film - such a great film especially when compared to overated and tedious dross like Inception - the Southpark version is most amusing.......

A little over a month later, we have a not-Blondie preview.
Face doesn't look too great in this shot, but I can't tell whether it's the angle or the actual sculpt. Taken as a whole though, I'd say this mini is on par with the rest of the sucker punch minis.

Very nice, though some of them are rather large (Rocket in particular). Baby Doll has almost no substance to her whatsoever (the sword is very thin) and the base weighs more than the model. Here's a WIP shot of the 4 girls.
