More on topic, why does it matter to you what your opponents' army looks like? You should be proud of YOUR work, not theirs. Going as far out of your way as to have a shirt made just to show your opponent how superior you feel over how pretty your little plastic men are is, to say the least, incredibly passive aggressive and not likely to get you a second game with people.

More on topic, why does it matter to you what your opponents' army looks like? You should be proud of YOUR work, not theirs. Never have seen that make a direct impact on the second game. I mean if his attitude is poor then yes ok, however if sporting said shirt while playing it off as a joke I fail to see the issue.

Make your shirt: "Fielding only painted minis since 2005" or something similar. This is something to be proud of and share.

Taking a dig at someone else, even in jest, grates on people.

Lead by example or ispiration, not by shaming others. That's the difference between being mature and acting juvenile.

It seems it would be funny, but it seems like a surefire way to (sooner or later) get on someone's bad side before you even start a game. Just because you call it a joke doesn't mean everyone will be laughing at it. In short, it is a joke at someone else's expense. It is good to try to grow out of this sort of humor as soon as possible. I would think twice about making it your new slogan - emblazoned on your chest for all to see.

I think people are looking way too far into this. It is a shirt plain and simple and as long as his attitude does not come off as arrogant or unsportsmanlike then who cares? he, for all you know, might be one of the nicest guys you could ever meet and this shirt is just a little joke he and his friends cooked up for kicks. Refusal to play against him because of a t-shirt when his attitude clearly is sportsmanlike and friendly? Now THAT is immature. I am glad I ditched WH, people need to calm down and realize that you only live once, and to squabble/take insult over a t-shirt is beyond ridiculous when there should be far more pressing issues in ones life to deal with and pursue.

Reading is fun, as in if you read all the way through my response ( It was not long... ) you would see that I play other tabletop minis games that require painting. Also, simply because one person agrees with your opinion, it does not make it correct. Its funny, as the T shirt and my opinion of it had nothing to do with "little plastic men." You might add a more thorough understanding of basic reading comprehension to the list of things to consider in the future.

I don't care if my opponent has an unpainted army or not. Their personality will determine if I play them again. Great guy, fun game? Let's do this again!

However, the t-shirt idea is just off-putting to me. Before we roll the first die, I'm going to have some alarm bells going off. I might enjoy the game, I might not.

That's why I fall back to leading by example, not by shaming. These guys should brag about having never put an unpainted model on the table. That's a big deal in my book. I wish I could say the same. My gaming buddies and I push each other all of the time to paint more. But we do it by one-upping each other and wanting to one-up the last painted model or unit.

All I'm trying to say is there is a difference between saying "Our group only fields painted models" and "You should only field painted models."

I think it would be hilarious and if people can't joke about it or find it offensive then they are mostly likely immature and sensitve about everything else.
