Back from the dead! I've been working on this army slowly, just adding in an extra rank of gobbos here and there mixed in with other projects. I have 20 more to go to finish my next block of 50. But, I'm about to to be order up these new guys from Forge World and making them smurfy!

I love this scheme! I had no idea you did gobbos. Very, very cool . That FW model will be an excellent addition, too.

I've actually never even played a single game with them. I told myself I wouldn't play till they're all painted... boy was that a dumb idea. Every time I paint a new rank, it looks like there's suddenly even more unpainted smurfs than before.

And yeah, it was the spider that really made me start the army. I saw it and had to have it.

To be honest, I tought your army was so fun that I started a chaos smurf army of my own last year (only four units have been basically painted so far), but I wanted to thank you for having such a great idea!

May I ask you how you worked on the robes (a thinned black wash perhaps?)

No thinning.. just white primer, black wash, then a white drybrush Well the rank & file smurfs were done quick like that, but the characters and stuff I was a little more careful or did some blending here and there so they look a little nicer. But still the same recipe pretty much
