I don't have a gaming table. I use terrain mats on the kitchen table or a 3x3ft coffee table we have.

The only thing your trailer park needs now is a tornado.

I'm thinking of getting some Greys to probe the residents.

Right now I have some Tyranids as my 'go to' alien figures, and a few Predators (not yet painted). I think some bug-eyed Greys would be cool, and easy to paint!

Okay,

I painted up this resin peice from Ainsty Castings ( http://ainstycastings.co.uk/product_info.php/products_id/475 )

This has been primed for ever, sat base coated for over 3 weeks, and I finally finished it up this weekend. I don't know what happened but I got Painter's Block on it and just couldn't figure out exactly what or how I wanted to do this... Anyway, it is not perfect, probably not even good, but minus a clear coat it is DONE!

1st and 3rd pics are too "yellow", the lighting is not good at all. 2nd pic shows the true colors and it looks really good! Any chance for pics of the front of the truck? I'm betting there's some horrible ram-plate welded on the front that is perfect for "hunting" deer.

The lighting is bad. It is really rainy out so natural light is non-existant. The good picture used the flash, the others did not. The flash made the grey armor plate look shiney in another picture though so I quit using it...

Yup, the front of the truck is just what I was hoping for. I am really enjoying the concept of what you are doing here and you have motivated / inspired me in some aspects with my own work. Is there a specific game all this goes with or are you doing this simply for the absolute awesomeness of it all?

I've got a few sets of rules I use this stuff with.

All Things Zombie by Two Hour Wargames and their free set of rules called Chain Reaction are the main ones. Between those two sets you cover gang on gang warfare, SWAT/Law Enforcement and military against bad guys, and all of the above against Zombies.

I also recently got a cool set of rules called It Came From Beyond the Still which has feuding hillbillies against aliens of various flavors. It is not a 'serious' game but looks like it will be fun. I just ordered a bunch of Grey aliens and have a resin still I need to paint up.

Basically I use all the terrain for current/near future/post apocalyptic gaming.

My only reccomendation would've been a bit of armor protecting the engine block, but since its already painted its a bit late for that.

I left the casting as is, didn't add anything to it. I understand your point, but adding armor (or anything else) to the casting was beyond the effort I wanted to take on this. I do have another armored car like what I used for this SWAT vehicle I intend to dirty up and add all kinds of post apocalyptic accessories to:

My Landspeeder Tornado keeps bonking into the laptop whenever I look at this, that's how good this is! Needs some shady lookin' backyard playground stuff, maybe a few punk kids.

Now I want to fight some Orks on a trailer park table.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Right now I'm working on a cash machine/ATM for the stop-n-rob that the trailer park inhabitants buy their beer and cigarettes at, as well as some more small scenery items.

Awesome thread you have here! Great theme. A couple ideas for you... Dirt bike track with jumps, rusted tractor with flat tires, and a white kid dressed like a gangsta' selling meth.

Can I make a request that you paint up at least one pick up like the El-Camino in My Name Is Earl with a big American Flag?

Or I was also thinking perhaps paint a couple of body pannels different colours to represent them having been replaced?

The toilet-turned-planter is seriously wonderful. I saw that and knew that you had definitely seen the inside of "real" trailer park.

Finished up a nifty little resin terrain piece from Rusty Rail ( http://rustyrail.com/OMiniScenesCastings.htm ) who make some fantastic stuff! ;D

Anyway, I sprayed on a white primer coat after scrubbing the resin with dish soap. Painted with cheap craft paints as I am prone to do. I'm pretty happy with how it came out.
