Damn you, hotmail, for not alerting me of the messages saying that there were new posts! Damn you to hell!

Anyways...

@Guy who wanted to be an ork: Why not joining my clan as a Dread pilot? I mean, you'd had to eat through a straw for the rest of your life, but you could rip a terminator in two with one hand while crushing a librarian to pulp with the other one and using your two remaining hands to burn an assault unit to ashes!

Or you could always become as a wagon gunner. Reliable gretchins are hard to find these days. Or I could train you as a mek and put you in charge of a Lootta unit. Or blah, blah, blah...

Orks have a simiar technique. It comes with the bosspole. If your units want to retreat, you start beating them down untill they're more afraid of you than of the enemy. The leader of the Vulchas just kills one of his boyz if his unit wants to retreat.

If I could completely recreate myself, I would want to be a zealous leader of men as a Black Templar Castellan. High enough up to be a total badass with great wargear, but not as much responsibility as a Marshal.

My realistic goal would be a multi melta gunner on a LrC.

I'd be an Imperial citizen on a calm, safe world which hasn't been attacked in millennia because it has nothing worth attacking over.

I'd be stuck at home being cared for by my parents since I'd have a mental defect without the ability to get it cured. So I'd spend most days passing the time by chatting with my fellow citizens, and occasionally playing strategy games with them.

If I ended up joining or being inducted into the Guard, I'd probably stick around as a lower-ranking guy, since I'd have no ambition for climbing the ranks. Might be given a special weapon or put in a heavy weapon crew eventually, assuming my marksmanship skills were good enough or improved enough, and also since I can learn how to use different things easily enough.

In that vein of thought, I'd probably be an Imperial Guardsmen with a special weapon or vox-caster, or part of a heavy weapon team. If I survived long enough, I'd probably end up in a Veteran Squad with one of those pieces of equipment.

Can people with mental defects get into the Imperial Guard? Also, I think you mean "posibility" instead of "ability."

Dunno one way or the other on the first. Probably depends on the defect.

On the second, I don't mean, "possibility," though, "means," may have been a better word to use than, "ability." Imperial medical tech is apparently pretty damned good, if you can afford it/are provided it. I probably wouldn't be able to afford it, nor would it likely be provided due to its high cost and lack of dire need due to a much cheaper treatment being available and functioning well enough with me. Here I'm using unaffordable high cost as a metaphor for lack of existence in terms of being given a cure.

Then when you finally succumb, you kill yourself with your scholastica psykana mercy blade due to the training you went through to become Primaris (which you probably didn't even know about, because of how that institution works) triggering.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.
