Techpriest by far. Probably no higher rank than an Enginseer. I like the idea of combat medic. I like tinkering with weapons and vehicles. I like the idea of augmentation. I don't like paperwork. I don't like taking orders to charge a heavily fortified location to let the Astartes have all the credit for having the highest kill count. Second choice for most of the same reasons would be commanding officer of an artillery regiment. Caiphas Cain had it right. The best way to wage war seems to be sitting back eating a hot grox bun and drinking tanna while periodically saying "Fire" in a genteel accent into my personal voxcaster.

No character depth means no life. Why else do you think that the Guardsmen are referred to by their weapon names? Nothing cool like Warp Spiders, Noise Marines, or Immortals. No, YOU are the heavy weapons guy. YOU are the sniper. YOU are the flamer. YOU are the... Oh, Conscript... You don't even get a weapon name...

I sort of like the idea of being the Company Commander of a Cadian Mechanized Company, and constantly hollering "INCOMING!!!" and "BRACE FOR IMPACT!!!" and "FIRE ALL GUNS, DAMMIT!!!" and similar exclamations. If I could, I'd carry a specially strengthened Rending sword(it takes more skill to try to go around Power Armour plates than through it with a Power Sword, which I would be proud of, but it would be nice if I could punch clear through the heart of an Aspiring Champion in a pinch). As well, my Bolt Pistol's rounds would be Rending, as they'd carry a slightly more explosive core.

Battle hardened Blood angel assault Sergeant, skilled and resourceful with his power sword and infernus pistol, yet kinda nutty and angry and tending to jump ahead of the squad straight into the middle of hordes lots of enemies without much regard to safety, and the get a tongue lashing from whoever sees me do so, eventually leading to a break down in the middle of a battle and a big "I understand now moment" blah blah blah something Sanguinius blah hate leaving me blah blah reborn warior blah blah continue unsafe ways
