All good, but Rise Of The Triads deserves a special mention for getting me into the FPS genre I'm the first place....

The best FPS of all time is Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six by far. The game was deadly accurate for its weapons and if you got hit you were wounded or dead.

I havent played Battlefield but I hear thats pretty good too.

Poor Poor Bravo team... always doing my dirty work, taking routes that would allow them to take ambushes and me to waltz through to the objective safely.

Ok, call me old, but does 'a bird' mean good or bad? If it means good then I have to argue a little here and say 'Quake:Arena' was better in so many ways!

I don't mean to hate but seriously? Halo 2 at 1! Half Life 2 and the original Half life eat up Halo and COD. But that's just my opinion and about every pc game magazine.

Battlefield is awesome. If you like the realism, you really have to check out operation flashpoint, cold war crisis. It's a fairly old pc game and it can get pretty corny but hands down it is very realistic. Plus is has almost infinite gameplay with all the mods and player mission add ons.

How is bunny hopping better then an actual dodge mechanic? And alternate fire. And all the gimmicks Quake has, but better, and more.

By sheer amount of time I spent playing it.

Perfect Dark for the N64.

Next would be Halo 2. Clubbing Hookers was the clan. Purposefully lost every battle we played. Nothing more hilarious then insta-suiciding, then hiding the entire game ensuring the opposing team did not get a single kill.

Oh the irony of that first sentence. Just as well it's only an opinion then, not that I'd take what a bunch of PC magazines think into consideration for what is primarily a console game. It's better than Half-Life as an FPS in my opinion.
