Personally, I really like Finecast.

Yep, I've not had any bad experiences. Sure, a little bit of flash, but you'd be deluding yourself if you say that never happened with metal.

Obviously not, since the Failcast movement has already spawned its own Dakka meme and it own graphic. In six months, the anti-GW crew will have something else to complain about, and the least of their concerns will be Finecast.

That is more an indication of the stupidity of some Dakkaites than anything to do with GW or Finecast.

I prefer lighter models. Plus, I like conversion, which is much easier with Finecast & plastic.

Additionally, I find it easier to see details on unpainted Finecast than unpainted metal.

I recently spent bloody three hours pinning an old metal hive tyrant. I'm still not certain that the bugger will not spontaneously fall apart. I really wished I would've had a resin version instead.


Also, as a obsessive compulsive converter, I really love the Finecast models. They are so easy to cut, unlike the metal GW uses. I swear, they could make real tanks out of that stuff.
