well 2 day's until the tournament and i will take pictures of the day. the pictures will be of a bad quality as my phone camera isn't great and my phone has a will of it's own so it sometimes refuses to work.

the ancient cameras are far from easy to sooth

OMG guy's you are insane!

apart from that i just returned from a tournament.
and turned out 7th out of 8th....
it was a fun tournament
there was a lot of divers armies
note the above statement is sarcastically typed
the field consisted out of
3 blood angels armies
2 grey knight armies
1 dark angel (terminator army)
1 space wolf army
and my orks

i was the only one without power Armour.
it did showed me something.... my orks are a fun army to play in one off games but not in tournaments. so i will get a new army..... grey knights this time combining two things i love. air born armies and terminator armies without special characters. It is not a rash decision but it basically turned out like this.
i don't want to buy more orks to make this army work. and i like my army as it is but it is just not competitive.

what didn't work in my list where the kommando's they assaulted they lost and fled.

on the other hand my orks are great against terminators.

what scared me where the vindicators of the blood angels. they moved 12" and shot i was like WHAT hand me that codex well that isn't nice.
and death company there where 7 of them and 20 orks of mine. my orks died horribly. i did take some pictures which i will upload tomorrow. i took pictures of two of my opponents armies. the dark angels terminator army (who won first place and best painted army) and a lamentier army. my last opponent was a blood angels player with no paint and the golden boy (the examplair of the host) whom i shot with 45 shots. o and i killed like half his assault squad with one shot from the SAG double 6 love it.

lol....total powerarmour tournament....exept your green hides... well that is most discriminatory...
would love to see pics...i am eagerly awaiting then tomorrow^^

as for the insanity bit...goes with the show i guess...aplying zillions of rivets does that to a formerly sane man...

OR...you could spend a gazillion dollars on ALL Orks in MEga Armor

thank you cuddlesquig and welcome to the blog. Yah fun thing at the tournament there where no points for conversions until the judge walked by and my opponnent said. he can't you give him conversion points? the orgenazor said uhmm let me check. and boem we had points for conversions.

conversions are for me the best part of the hobby...

alright this photo update is a little bit later then planned. i had a little bit of a problem after my rugby training.
you know rugby, American football without the protection.

and a possible broken jaw (luckly the x-ray showed no fracture)

Thrust me most of the tourament felt like that 7 out of 8 where marine armies. i used my full army like i posted it before. i thoughed my opponents armies where interesting except for the last who played like me unpainted.

well i think i mentioned it earlier... i had to abaondon my chapeter due to boringness of SM... seeing only SM armies around that must be quite a boring site so see...

but then you showed some nice minis...that creamy and blue is a nice combo...

but i want to win tournaments not play nice so i will scumble or not? maybe a full tank army IG style. but if I scumble i will scumble before chaos with an army lead by a fallen angel

well guy's i need some help.
like i said i have some issues with my army towards a competitive list.
so i was thinking of 3 possible armies

1ste possible list : imperial guard tank list
1 commissar
20 veterans
3 chimera's
6 leman russ battle tanks
3 vanquisers
tactic: protect the veterans with a russ wall. shoot the stuffings out of the opponent with the russes and if i can tank shock some units of the table or something like that.
color scheme : white body with silver metal and a pin up free hand on each tank. each tank will get a name after there pin up.

2nd possible list : tyranids
2 hyve tyrants
4 venomthropes
12 swarms of rippers
6 carnifexen
tactic: i want to deploy in two groups. each group is identical to one another. venomthropes protect the group with there ability, whilst the tyrants give the group prefferd enemy. then its ram and destruction if i get into close combat.
colo scheme: black caprace with a grey body and ice blue tribals

3rd possible list : grey knights
grand master
5 paladins
10 terminators
3 storm ravens
tactic: fly in kill stuff you know from the 3 list this one appeals least to me.
color scheme : dirty white armour with red clothes

give your oppinions and if you have an crazy idea with some sort of competitive feel. i don't have to win i just don't want to lose to a guy with no skills but just because he has a marine army. orks are fun but they get kicked by a complete noob and i hate that

ohoh.... i think i can´t help you there... i am the noob...^^ so all i could say is i can´t believe that there is not a possible way to get your orks to kick some serious butts... i think there must be a way to add something to make them more competitive...

that's the fun part. if you look at the tactics on orks i use the models that are listed as competitive. but that is coincidence i just picked what i like. and i know orks can be a great tourny army but not with the models i want. it boils down to these are my orks i like em but i want an other army (like a spoiled brat ) plus i really like building armies .

i have been working on a leman russ but there is almost no room for big pin ups. so i am trying something out so maybe tomorow a update with the russ

well then i think a nice IG army would be right up yor alley.... a tank line full of nice almost neeekidd wimmen...i think you would be on the winners route by this... all the nerdy gamers would be loosing because of the disatraction caused by the pin-ups^^

yeah the pin ups are there because i want to improve on my free hand work. but then again i almost always havve a nice free and clean surface for the free hands. but not with the tanks. so i put on on the underside and i added some small free hands on the body of the russ. I can't stand fighting for good so i guess my IG will be pro slaanesh as that is the god(dess?) weirdo of lust.

i did it on the undersinde but only as a test. a nice practice and a fun bonus for my opponent if you blow up this tank you get to see a pin-up

just removed the masking tape aand pulled the free hand of. turns out the masking tape tears of the paint %^$%^%$$%.

i did found the left overs of my first 40k army. 10 grey hunters, 5 termies and my wolf lord...

and i am in some sort of argument with a friend of mine. he says that pure khorn is better and i say pure slaanesh is better.... and i am right

but alas war is not a conflict to determine who is right but who is left. if i want to add some effect to my words i might need to builed a slaanesh army and battle him oh boy.

i will concentrate on Tau for now and leave my army idea's for what they are and just paint stuff. updates soon i hope

well i have a tiny attention span. the tau are my friends i just paint his tau and he pay's me some money not allot. and the army i plan too take on powergeeks i dunno to meany ideas not enough time. i'll just paint some tau and think slowly about the army before i do anything rash
