No it's true. Alot of the forum members on Dakka Dakka and Bells of Lost Souls that I know of, seem to keep getting WD in the mail, so I take it they keep renewing. Why? No idea, maybe it's they need to keep paying GW for their brochure as you say. .

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

I just read it in Tescos a few days to a week before those chumps that subscribe or go to a GW store.

I have though bought the last 4 issues for the related release articles, nontheless there's nothing there to support a subscription.

Hey Worglock,
Thanks for stepping up on an anti-WD thread. I hope we can ask this of you without having folks get on your case, but would you mind telling what you like about White Dwarf that keeps you buying it?
Thanks!

I actually still buy it myself. Largely out of completionist issues.

Because, you know, every single issue since 208 has to count for something.

I'm letting my subscription run its course and let it expire.

The White Dwarf Magazine doesn't seem that interesting anymore. Does anyone even read the Battle Reports? I just skip over them.

GW WW added this to their Facebook page..

If you've seen the White Dwarf subscription miniature pictured in White Dwarf, you may know that it's so stunningly painted that some people say we edited and fiddled the picture. The Citadel Miniatures Hall now holds the truth...... Joe IS that terrifyingly talented that he can paint WD pages on spaces smaller than 1cm long. Pop in to see for yourself.

You get a better look at the painted WD pages.

.. Astonishing.
