I should have left him there. He had served his purpose. He owed me nothing - yet he gave himself to me willingly. Why? I know not. He is nothing more than a pathetic human. An inferior race. A mon-keigh. But still I broke off my wings so that I might carry him easier. I took him from that place, into the snowstorm where our tracks will not be found. He is heavy. And he is dying. And he is slowing me down. But I will save him. Why? I know not. He is still warm. I can feel his blood ebbing across me. For every beat of his heart, another, slight spill of heat. The heat blows away on the winter wind. His blood is still warm. But fading. And I have spilled scarlet myself. The snow laps greedily at our footsteps and our lifeblood, covering them without a trace as we fade away.

No. Salamanders have a mutated gene seed, changing their skin. And the White Scars just have a Mongolian culture, they're still Caucasian.

That was explained by Matt Ward in 5e codex, 4e codex states that they are naturally that color because they had to adopt the harsh climate of their world. But hey, Ward is Ward right...

Now this is Kor'sarro Khan. Picture is from 5e codex only colored. See him and tell me that he looks just liek European and not Mongolian.

And I don't except much of Ward cannon, because according to it Ultramarines are second best in the entire Imperium witch is just playing slowed.

Caucasian doesn't exist anymore. People have been so throughly mixed together that you won't find anything resembling the so-called races we have today.

Dark skin is going to be fairly rare because it requires the presense of intense sun exposure to develop and in the case of setteling on planets you are going to pick the least harsh planets and climate zones to build settlements on because you have the option. As generations come and go the skin color will adapt to the new climate, eventually settling at a particular hue. The only dark skin you will find will be on planets with harsh climates where there was no other option. In essence, skin color will be a planetary characteristic. And, given a choice, you wouldn't deliberatly pick a harsh enviroment.

If you want 'black' people in the fluff you just need to read the Ravenor and Eisinhorn books. One of the trilogies has a female black pilot, can't remember which Trilogy it was though. She is from a planet where everyone has dark skin due to the climate.

If they made a Imperial Guard movie I would die of happiness.

They could even make it live action if they did it right, considering that well, the Imperial Guard is all just humans anyway.

I always fancied the idea of Christopher Nolan directing a 40k movie around the Taros Campaign, I think that would be a great 40k movie. The story would revolve around a Gue'vesa (Imperial defector) and his/her struggles with the moral implications revolving his defection would be amazing in my opinion

As for my role... Rogue Trader. Like a (War)Boss.
