Subject: Scratchbuild IG Centaur now with 50% extra Leviathan + rivets
Being the least organised person in the world is slowing things down too. Every time i go to use something I have to dig through the pile of stuff to find it.
I finally found something the right size for the track wheels though and I ordered the ebay tracks as although mine were ok, replicating the 60 or so track link, even with instamold, was going to take forever.
I was planning on detailing all 3 floors, the bottom is mostly empty, but the bombard goes at the front with racks of shells.
The 2nd floor was going to be just a floor of seating, so Im contemplating skipping it, but i'll see how it goes.

Great to see such a full-on scratch build with foamcore! I got back in to the hobby by scratch building a mars-pattern baneblade. For the riveting, I tapped a blunted nail through thin plasticard at regular intervals: gives you a double-whammy of armour plating and rivets. Just a thought. Grand job thus far, though, and love your interior work!

@Graven - I totally dig the punched riveting idea!! I think that method is very underutilized. I have been wanting to get one of those wheel tools that you just roll and it makes the perfect pattern.

Back in Rogue Trader and Second Edition, Imperial Armies used a standard pool of vehicles. Only until the army "Codexes" came our, did you start seeing the 'limits'. Heck, IG used to have speeders and jetbikes, Allies did all sorts of things, etc.
But, then again, those were the days where you'd field 20-25 marines and a couple of vehicles...and a Land Raider on the table was like a Baneblade, today.

Ig jumppacks you say, now that's an idea I like.
Erm, I'm not at home, but if I remember rightly the main body is 21cm high and maybe 26cm long.
I didn't use a template or even scale the original, I copied the shape of the epic model, then sized it based on what I wanted.it to carry. The tank bay will hold a chimera or Russ as well as the the bombard cannon on the front. The crew floor, which I'm not sure if I'm going to model yet, should have rows of seats.
