Yeah Im a bit unsure about the scope, it looks fine on the model but when I see the pics I think the same it looks a little top heavy

Loving these guys The charge one is cool, but I agree the scope is slightly off putting for the weapon. Other than that its great work all round

Charger carries the bones of a fallen comrade ( a few of my more senior marines will do this kinda thing)



Pointy carries a scroll with the names of those who have joined Imperator Mortifex for judgement.





Still to work out some proper fluff for these guys.

Loving the specific stern guard squad. I like the individuality of these guys. They are vets so it makes sense for them to be more personalised for their chapter rather than being run of the mill 'vets'. keep up the good work

Really nice work on the Sternguard, especially the helmets. I'm a sucker for Beakie helmets, especially with the horizontal slits. They remind me so much of the Rogue Trader artwork.

Thanks guys, still working on these but they're packed away for now as I'm moving next week. I'll get cracking on with the strike force once I'm settled. Really appreciate the comments though. I have a ten man Tac squad built as well now but no pics yet.

Looking through a few blogs tonight got me in the mood to start chopping plastic although when I went to start I realised most of my bits and knives are still in one of the dozen boxes I've still to unpack. Not to be put off I cracked on with what I had to hand and knocked together a very rough Chaplain on Bike. Obviously all the RW insignia will be removed. I'm thinking of having this guy lead my Wraithwing. I may switch the helmet out for the Chaos one that's on my other Chaplain at the start of this thread.

Yay a bike Chaplain! I have a slight fascination with Chaplains so this is awesome! Love to see more work on him

Thanks buddy, no more work on the Chaplain but I have been working on this guy. I wasn't gonna post it yet but I thought this is probably the best place to get some decent feedback. I want to show that the Dread is laying down a suppressing fire for his brothers to advance. Obviously this is still very WIP but feel free to let me know what you think. And again I'm obviously well aware of the similarity to one of my Chaos Dreads. I just really want to push the skull imagery of the Phantoms and this is easily the best bit for that.

I love the work on the Dreadnought (that skull helm is almost your trademark ), my only minor concern is that the left hand's pose looks a little un-natural compared to the motion in the rest of the model. Maybe having it at the same angle, but turned down would help.

I worked a little on the first Tac Squad. The heavy bolter was blatantly nicked from 1000Heathens Marines Malevolent which is a little ironic I suppose lol.

I envy you so much for doing what I couldn't. I was going to start space marines (I already have orks and tau and used to have Grey Knights) and I was hoping to start some star phantoms, but I dropped that fast. I am glad to see yours.

Loving the Dreadnought. It's amazing how the slight alteration to the faceplate makes it look a lot more Imperial.

I've found a kit I hate more than the Drop pod for building. :( quick look at some Fast Attack.

Is that an older speeder? They recut the kit at one point it was so bad.

Whalemusic, it's the Speeder from the 3rd Edition box set. It's brutal.

Nash, seeing how much of a pita the kit is to build has really out me of it. I'm wanting another 3 but they will more than likely just be basic builds with little decoration. Ill change the heads and torsos of the pilots and that will pretty much be it.

Bebop, yeah I use blutac to sort out my poses before gluing. Things like bolters are kept separate till after painting as well. Hopefully ill get some paint on these soon.
