Hahaha, It's the gods honest truth! Sending the guy a message telling him how disappointed I was in the fact that Natwest meant I couldn't get hold of one and he sent me one free with an email telling me he hoped I enjoyed the new 6th edition!

Mr. Wells has my business for aslong as GW keep making fantastic models and fun games!

I once got a squad of stern guard for £2 because of a price labelling error. The manager was a great guy. Also, my dad had a pizza store next door but one to GWburton and the manager used to give us staff discounts in return for the occasional free pizza. Sadly he got fired but it was good while it lasted.

Best deal I have had in a GW ? 1994, buying the Epic Space Marine boxset pretty sure I got 25% off an expansion pack and a bunch of blister packs for free! Made me very happy at the time

The best deal I ever got was the old Dark Angels upgrade set. For about 30%? less than the Veterans box, you got twice as many models... till they wised up...

There was this kid at my local GW that wanted to learn the game... well lets just say the Manager went though the intro game at least 5 times and could't get him to understand. Also, he wrote his own "codex"; his units were incredibly OP for their points cost. To help the manager, I offered to play a 200pt game with no ForceOrg with the kid. 5 marines didn't stand a chance against a Mortis Contemptor. He rage quit and left after that.

Basically the store manager gave me 3 damaged paint-pots.

when i ordered my Ork Boss Snikrot from GW. my blister came with 2x metal backpacks!
put the other on a spare warboss, now hes extra decked out

bought a baneblade off a buddy for $20 last year...it was too far superglued to be used as an imperial baneblade so i resold it to another friend from a different gaming group for $55 i made money to do nothing it has now been converted into a gorgeous nurgle baneblade

When a previous store manager left i.was given like 20 books including omnibuses from black.kibrary. 6 boxes of apocolypsegun dice. A fallen giant template a rummage in the bitz box for whatever i wanted (i took a stank and a veteran marine squad (metal)) oh and he gave me a space marine store army 1500 ots... ;-) he gave my friends exactly the same too butother versions (fantasy dice etc) i heard after he keft hed taken the other 10 store armies :-D

The best deal I've ever gotten from GW...

I pre-ordered Space Hulk when it was re-released.

I received it in prompt fashion via FedEx. Opened the box and tried not to drool over the minis. Upon review discovered Sergeant Lorenzo had his Chalice broken off his back. Nothing I probably couldn't fix.

I Emailed the GW Customer Service and inquired if I might get a new Lorenzo and was told "Not a problem"

2 weeks later, another FedEx package arrived with an entire new set of all the Space Hulk minis, even the Nids.

Best thing ive found is shopping at hobbeycraft for my terrain.pieces... They sell a limited amount of warhammer and 40k... And they have sales... Jjnuary sale is fantastic!

I bought something before the hiked the prices up... Fourteen times.

Pre-ordered about $300 USD worth of COD when it was released including the mat. As luck would have it I only got about half my order so called GW customer service. They apologized asked what I was short and told me the rest would go out. Next shipment arrived I got the entire original order but was still short the Mat. Called again and informed them that I need to ship some items back but would really like the mat. Again CS apologized and told me they were out of the COD mats and would credit my account the price of the mat and to keep the extra building kits for my trouble. Few days later the mat shows up in the mail and another building box. Called CS again to let them know that I need to pay for the mat since I got it and that I was sent another building kit. Was told to keep it all even though I offered to pay for it.

This one was actually yesterday. I wanted to buy and convert a CSM Lord for my own Chapter "The Unfogiving". I went into the shop and took the Lord out of the shelf and went to the vendor or "Dungeonmaster" as we call him. Usualy he would cost about 25-30 Swiss francs. I forgot to take nough money with me. "How much have you got with you?" He asked. I had only 10 Swiss francs in my wallet. "No problem, give me those 10 francs and I'll give you my old CSM bitzbox." Long story short, I have a little GW bag full of CSM bitz and a new Lord for almost nothing!

Store closing I got a giant plastic tote full of stuff for free.
3 boxes of old metal black orcs, 2 boxes of old metal boar boyz, 1 old metal chaos spawn, 3 blood bowl teams, a couple of lord of the rings mini's, some empire guy on a griffin, some eldar weapons platforms, dark eldar blisters, metal dwarf slayers, quarellers, etc.

Funny though when you get a box of free stuff, all your buds think you should just hand it over for free too.
