Considering that the Exorcists are probably descended from the Grey Knights I'd say they get a pass. Black Dragons were created during the 21st founding, AKA "the Cursed Founding", so they're just gak outta luck.

Love how people think DA are a plasma chapter, they are not, they are a chapter that excels in keeping old tech around and as such have plasma weapons too, I think that the new codex may have alot of plasma weapons because the players take alot of plasma as it fits there idea of the DA as oposed to GW (old) idea for them (old tech).

Got to be the salamanders! I mean come on thunder hammers, flamers, meltas, and artificer armour galour? Anybody a need a light?

I'm a bit torn.

Black Templars due to their semi-religious trappings and crusading attitude, plus they seem to have a good relationship to the Ecclesiarchy, making them true champions for the Imperium's people
Mentor Legion due to the rather unique but very cool habit of attaching individual squads to other Imperial forces and teach them. Very commendable!
Ultramarines due to them keeping a rather stable realm and being one of the few major Chapters that works well in cooperation with the Imperium as a whole rather than playing the rebellious kid.
White Scars due to their cool colour scheme and the concept of such an extremely mobile Astartes force. Also, them not being as popular seems to have prevented them from being tainted by ridiculously cheesy fluff.

This cannot be stated enough: they're probably the most awesome "minor" Chapter!

Loyalist wise- Blood Angels and Imperial Fists

Chaos wise- Night Lords and Iron Warriors

Blood angels are the best as their primarch had wings so blood angels love flying and because they are made to look like space vampires they love blood from killing stuff and the death company are just awesome +2 attacks on the charge and you can now control them

I'm partial to Lamenters and Minotaurs myself. Minotaurs mostly because of Moloc and Enkomi (those are niiice models).

Imperial Fists, because they are the most loyal and dedicated legion.

Any chapter is good, assuming the guy is dead and ready to bioharvest.

Relictors all the way (I may be biased).

'Hey, this Chaos stuff's pretty hardcore! Why don't we use it to fight Chaos?'

'Hmm ... don't think the Inquisition will approve. Ah well, what's the worst that could happen?'

...

'Hey, it's a Grey Knights strike force, heading straight for us. Wonder what they want?'

I'd have to go with the Grey Knights. The fact that they are incorruptible and kept so secretive that even space marines must have their memory wiped every time they fight along side them is just awesome.

And obviously the Legion of the Damned, for multiple reasons. Even if they are technically a previous chapter or not

Ok, I voted Ultramarines already a while ago, but this does deserve mention... even though they aren't really a "chapter" but this has to be one of the shining examples of fluff that has not been killed/destroyed/overused/underused.
