Rules:
1.No godmoding.
2.No steamrolling other races.
3. No overpowered unions like the Covenant from Halo (you will have to choose one of the factions within the Covenant)
4. No mega-destroyers like the Reapers from Mass Effect.
5. Your race may only start with 1 star system, if you want an empire you will have to make it.
6. No oneliners, exception for conversations. Try to use your best grammar!
7. Do notice random events

I'm interested but I do have a nitpick.

The covenant, as of Halo reach, wouldn't have enough firepower to scratch the paint on a single Imperial vessel given that their firepower is in the megaton range at best, while Imperial firepower is in the giga and teratons. The Reapers have even less firepower, only ranging at 400 kilotons at maximum power while Warhammer 40000's typical firepower for ships is literally a million to a billion times higher.

The entirety of the Reapers could fire at a single luna class cruiser and fail to take out a single shield. A single space marine chapter could conquer the entirety of mass effect because literally nothing would even marginally slow them down in space. They could do the same to the Covenant and the UNSC with only a marginal increase in difficulty at best.

That being said, give me a bit to look for something.

Also, if you want to see overpowered, try Strike Legion. You know the Exterminatus of Typhon Primaris? One strike legionnare can replicate that by rolling down the window of his ghetto space van and unloading a clip from his pistol before throwing a hand grenade. And the bad guys are a human dominated imperium ruled by a massively powerful immortal psychic worshipped as a god. Except it's a she.

To be fair, it rips off so many things from so many sources it warps all the way back to being original. From Jules Vern to mass effect pretty much everything in scifi gets some form of affectionate parody.

Well, the thing is, with a lot of different technologies and the possibility to RP as races from different universes, we'll have to just say they can blow eachother up.

Strengths: cybernetics allow for better reflexes, senses, strength, logic, and give immunity to certain hazardous environments, such as space. heavy reliance on robotics, Military includes mostly infantry and naval based.
Weaknessess: Suits shut down in extreme cold, cloning formers takes ages / casualties are hard to replace. lacking in mechanized forces. production and implamentation of cybernetic inplants is long and costly. heavy reliance on robotics.

Background: From the dawn of space colonization humans have adapted or conformed to the new worlds they discovered and resided. The Former humans, self proclaimed Andromons, Did not find a suitable planet. for years they were stranded on their ships looking for a suitable system. The overseers knew time was running short and knew their colony ships were not meant for prolonged space travel. People were dying. in droves the dead littered the hive ships used to carry families and military men alike to a new planet, a new beginning. Finally, their new beginning came, but not in the way they expected. those well enough underwent cybernetic surgery. similar to their distant Lerot relatives but more extreme and gruesome. Those millions who had underwent the surgery came out changed. it was considered by many a mass revival or a mass murder. The Formers now optimized for long time survivability soon found their system. one that was not as luxurious as others. they quickly and efficiently made planet fall in the Rinsust system, on a planet name Dromosius. Within decades they had full cities and complexes built. The work did not end but the workers did not tire. Robotic workers were engineered, and soon made building and manufacturing steady, but efficient. Cloning Experimentation is on the rise and new and upgraded cybernetics are becoming more refined and more deadly for those employed in war. The Former embraced war and battle assimilating, enslaving, or eradicating those in their path. For many years the Formers have held a fearsome disdain for their cybernetic brethren, the lerots, who use their "gifts" for peace. The Formers have been leaderless. For war they have relied appone each other for guidance, one machine is making a rise in power...

Additional Notes: The Jackals' specialty is the Alpha Strike, with a punishing Shock and Awe follow-up; These attacks can happen from orbit, or on conventional battlefields. Fighting forces tend to be elite, and have high-technology, but lacking numbers.

Background: Prior to the Expedition of the Andromons, The most successful colony was the Sonax System, where plentiful resources, especially exotic minerals, made the system an ideal location for development corporations and weapons manufacturers and prototype factories. The wealthy in the system were exorbitantly so, while the despondent working class languished on factory floors and deep underground mines. The inequality boiled over into total Civil War when Intersteller travel was suddenly cut off via an unexplained steller phenomenon. Plebeians in their hundreds of thousands rose up and brought the ruling executives to the brink of defeat, yet the brass had one trick up their sleeves. As the masses gathered on Sonax III to oust the leaders of the Corporations, dangerous ordinance that was still in quality control was unleashed on the population, while the plebeians were pushed back, the aftershocks ruined the ecosystem of the entire planet. Having brought their infrastructure to near collapse, the plebeians forced the patricians to secure a peace, and worked together to pick up the pieces. The factories were crippled, with some being brought to functionality, while other were lost entirely. Plans to many exotic devises were lost, but the staples that brought their early success, as well projects late in development. Some of the technology recovered were powered suits of armor, adaptive-composite infantry armor, rail weapons and some obscure space-based particle or energy cannons. After scavenging as much as they could on Sonax III, they used the only military star-fort as the main naval port. They to this day will bater and trade for technology, and sometimes go to war for it; and rarely will they share the tech back, only under extreme and important circumstances. Such hoarding behavior, as well as such quick and decisive action earned them the name, Jackals.

Form of Goverment: Merit based Magocracy (specifically mental powers psionics, and intellect) ruling body of 121 "professors" with 3 overall "Deans" and a single High chancellor, terms are for life, or until replaced by a more worthy applicant.

Species: Daragons (Dara-Gons) Hextapedal Dino-reptilian twin sex species with extremely extended lifespans, and many morphological sub racial variants, Adult species average around 30-50meters in overall length/height and 30+ metric tons ( Species continues to grow throughout life span), eight lobed brain structure allows highly developed mental abilities. (yeah space dragons)

Planets: Primary Planet Darastrix V Massive high gravity planet formerly resource rich world with freshwater oceans covering 60% of its surface, geologically active.

Population: 8 Billion, with a further 32 billion spread throughout the system, actual census is difficult do to mobile nature of much of the population.

Army Size: standing military force of 10,000 life time inducted warriors, can expand exponentially in times of war.

Fleet Size: 1000 generational starships based on converted and purpose harvested asteroids and planetoids.

Strengths: Mentally mature and supremely physically adapted species with a overwhelming thirst for knowledge and mental discovery, technological innovation is focused through various departments of the races sub species (approx. 37 subspecies ), each attempting to build upon the preceding innovators creations.

Weaknessess: Daragons physiology is dependent on the consumption of rare elements and metals, and as such has forced the race to expand and restrict it population to set levels, this dependency is foremost in their intra galactic agenda. Also many projects necessitate the need for "smaller" species adaptive innovations input, so a active surplus of purchased labor is required (slave labor), also the eventual massive physical scale of the eldest members of the race cause a severe shortage of living space in many closed or restrictive enviroments.

The College of Darastrix's primary concern is the gathering of knowledge and the expansion of the mental frontiers, generally peaceful and rational, the College is capable of stunning levels of aggression if the need merits it. debate and counter debate is the language of the daragon with physical conflict the last resort of the mentally inferior.
The Inhabitants of Darastrix are powerfully psionic in general and the species generational dreams maybe responsible for the mental image that races across the stellar void have of a draconic creature, some members of the race develop a vast array of psionic disciplines.

Accepted# post an intro, on the in-character thread. Most other races so far are in negotiations with each other. And more have taken at least one new system. Mine in example is based in the fringes of the galactic north, Liamarr. And our colony system is directly north of that, Uro.
