Well, Eldar and the 6th edition do not fit very well together.

- Eldar tanks are heavily overpriced for what they can achieve. Hull stripping is a way to get rid of them and you can hardly do something about it. Clearly, a 5+ jink save helps a bit but only to a certain point.
- Eldar powers may become available by a random table. This is bad news if you rely on fortuning your Seer Council.
- Eldar troops are very weak (low toughness) and can hardly hold an objective for some time (bar Wraithguard, which i find too expensive anyway).

I'm curious to see if the Eldar codex writers will have some answers to these issues.

It will turn out that the Eldar are suddenly battle brothers with Tau, Necrons, BA and GK, for "fluff" reasons.

Contrary to popular belief the new Eldar Codex will NOT come out this summer. It's slot is to be used up by the much needed Squat update.

The Eldar solve the problem of their ever dwindling numbers by cloning themselves. All aspects are dissolved "for fluff's sake". Now GW can use a single sculpt for all Eldar units and models.

There are some strong rumours of a new Apoc formation:
4 Phoenix Lords, Wraithlord and Avatar can create Eldazord.

Also there is an Eldar bastion: Eldrad Malibu Dreamhouse for 99.95. Eldrad and Falcon sold separately.

GW to fix falling sales of WD will put in the next 275 issues one page of the codex in sticker form. the stickers will be hard to get out of the magazine and you will offten have to buy multi coppies to get just one complete sticker. Except for 50 or so pages of the heavies released by FW mail order only.

See I posted that as a joke then sent it to my friends and they all said it was believable. It made me sorta sad.

I forgot to mention the limited edition nature of each part. GW will only send 3 coppies of each WD to your local game store. 2 of those will be posted on ebay immediately.

Well, since the current Eldar codex is vastly incompatible with the 6th ed rules, GW will postpone the release of the new Eldar codex and will consider a new release after the 7th ed.

Aspect Guardians!

Straight from retcon 101. A unit of guardians may be upgraded to represent an Aspect of Eldar mythos. The aspect represented will be chosen at random from the aspect upgrade table. This will happen after armies are selected but before deployment.

The Eldar player will pay for use of the table, then for whatever upgrade they get.

Lying xenos scum. At the end of the game if you were caught cheating at lest three times, you gain a victory point.
Superiority is not a choice. At the end of the game you loose a victory point for each round you didn't articulate how Eldar are better than the other army.
You don't understand anything Mon'Keigh. If you loose to IoM player you may proclaim that our dirty xeno magic was defending the world from Chaos / Tyranid / Necron invasion. Immediately create an army twice the original army size from one of the mentioned factions. If the IoM player can't table the army in 5 turns with his remaining forces, you both count as loosers.

Eldrad Special Ability:
Strings of Fate: Eldrad is the wisest of all Farseers. He can predict the future. Roll a D6. On 1-2 the outcome of the game is open and you have to play normally. On 3-4 your opponent would win, so grab your army and go. On a 5-6, you will win, so take all VP and go home with a smile.

New background: The Eldar are a dying race because all females were killed during the fall. Some males wear female cloths to show their mourning (people looking at GW Eldar miniatures have suspected this already).

145 - In keeping with GWs churn philosophy where great units become worthless and worthless units great, Howling Banshees will lose their power weapons and Striking Scorpions will go down to S3. However Shinning Spears will now have 6 attacks on the charge and Storm Guardians may now take 6 flamers per squad.

146 - The true reason for the decline and fall of the Eldar is finally reviled! A bubble in housing prices caused by lending to people with weak credit!

147 - The secret of the Wraith Guard is finally reviled! Forget all that balderdash about spirit stones, those puppies are piloted by squats!
