So, we have two lists, one called in a document called "Lords of War" and one in a document called "Dred Mob". Considering the second one does not explicitly prohibit the use of a Kustom Stompa for orks, there is absolutely no reason to assume it overrules the document covering Escalation itself.

The only thing you can get out of those rules, is that you cannot use the Kustom Stompa if you are using a Dred Mob as primary detachment.

Just for a different approach to the problem, rather than going bigger, go smaller.

Suggest a 500pt or 750pt game. Orks do better in lower point match ups. Our troops are rock solid, you can fit a lot of fun things in to small point games, and he'll have trouble bringing all his frustrating toys with a lower cap.

It may not be a great long term solution, but it will give you the opportunity to maybe win a game or two- and start having more fun.

Actually his artillery is so cheap he can bring an s9 ap3 ordnance barrage with t7 crew for 75 pts so if you go like 750 pt he can still have 3x2 pieplates for 450 pt and other stuff like 30-40 guards with ccs is gona be fearlessly baublewrapping it. While u're gona have less stuff to ride at him on your own. So decreasing points doesn't make this artillery less effective.
