God, GW getting its grimy mits further into FW and BL, the last remaining (but quickly withering) reasons to even be involved with 40k at all.

I'm sure this site will be a load of rubbish. Probably charge you to look at stuff.

So if 6E Imperial Guard is set to be released in a few months, where the hell are the rumors?

We were getting steady rumors for 'Nids since the summer. The Guard codex is predicted for March, but even if it were as late as June, we should be hearing more buzz about it.

All the Nid rumours were people just making stuff up, though. Now that IG is universally accepted as being the next release, I'm sure it will get its due attention from Faeit and the trolls.

imho there never should have been an argument. Saying things like FW is illegal, is nothing more than a homebrew to me.

I'm not sure we do. On the one hand I'd like mandrakes or even the court to be viable, and I'd like a hardback. On the other the army is pretty solid as is and I'm scared that they will screw it up. The order I believe they ought to do this in is: guard, orks, wolves, blood angels, gk, de then crons. It would bring everyone in line in a similar order from most to least 6th ed issues. However that puts 3 marine armies in a row. So, given how GW tends to mix things up I think they'll do: guard, wolves, orks, blood angels, de, gk, crons. I wouldn't expect much in the way of new models for any of them.

Does the integration of FW and GW websites mean that they will assign random costs for currencies other than pounds to other countries?

This could mean bad news for a lot of countries where they make up thier own exchange rates!

Its a business decision to cut some fat.

This is done basicly to justify getting a better bang for your pound.( remember the "New executive" they brought on for cost cutting measures.... old whats her name?)

You will honestly be seeing more FW stuff in reg. games very soonish, based on the issues that have sprung up over the past year or so based on the 6th Edition revamp, then to add incentive to keeping players, with the addition of the IA stuff to the mix as the newish supplimentals come out. (This will give you the added incentive to BUY MORE STUFFS!!! from FW at the going rates.)

(Saves them from making new plastic kits, saves you from keeping money in your wallet, thereby keeping it lighter and helping you walk straight, because we all know how GW cares about your money, and counting it to know how well they are doing.)

Of course, I might have to pull out my old IG stuff and see how we can dust them off.
That air assult catachan force that I was musing back in the day is all but here. Now all I need are some velociraptor cavalry and all will be complete.

Are we sure the website isn't being done today?

Message saying down for maintenance at present (UK one) and we're not expecting any major new releases for tomorrow which is the only other time I remember seeing it off for a while. Just a thought?

The hobbit will also have most kits from the desolation of smaug, and in There and back again kits will be released.

40k will also have an expansion released (planet strike), and 40k fortifications for indepent armies, starting with aegis defense lines.

Also the GW site will changed allow the purchase of forgeworld products from online which can also be done in stores. The new site will also feature more hobby tips ans paint schemes. Games Workshop are changing their current look and will have their site, magazinws and stores looking different by the end of the year.

The new starter set for warhammer fantasy 9th edition set to be released this summer will contain orcs and goblins and empire. The set will contain mounted riders for empire and gunners. Night goblins and orcs with a river troll for O & G. There is set to be around 50 models in this set with more than said here.

Note this is from a good source though the models content is not tor definite.

Forge world is being rumoured to start doing hobbit/lotr kits. This has come around with GW not being able to produce a smaug model due to their agreement with new line cinema that all models must be of right likelyness and scale. Other models rumoured to be done are the necromancer, sauron and even terrain.

Note this is just rumours at the moment

13/1/14: Dwarfs

Dwarfs are set to get a heavy release in the first two weeks of february. The first week is the armybook and all redos of metal/finecast kits along with troops units. The second week will bring new kits and the larger ones like warmachines and characters, a new plastic dwarf king clampack.

Dwarf slayers and hammerers will get a new plastic kit and a new siege engine aswell aswell as a war alter will be released aswell

The new gw website will launch in march. The forgeworld, black library and gw sites will merge as one under the name of Games Workshop. How all books and fw products will be arranged is to be seen. whether all books and novels will be under each army they are about or under a black libary tab and FW products under each army or under a FW tab.

I'm curious too, to be honest. But again, we've all been burned before on 'new' White Dwarf. The last time White Dwarf did a successful revamp was just before issue 200 where it became 'Fat Dwarf'. Sure, it was back to regular size by 220-ish, but for that brief period it was chock full of stuff.

What are the changes to White Dwarf? Is there a thread about that? Because I heard that they just rebooted it. I haven't been in the know, GW wise for a while, so I apologize for the possible "Slowpoke" reaction.
