i love the murder pack, and I'm currently trying to come up with a list for them, i wonder we could make a simi deathstart using a single CAD plus them

csm sorcerer- terminator armor plus goodies
crimson slaughter sorcerer- terminator armor, balestar plus goodies

whatever troops

murderpack

obliterateors.

then add spawn or whatever and heldrakes to fill it out.

the only reason i use the above army construction, is it only draws from two sources, CSM (supplement books are included as faction) plus the formation.

I don't know if I'd drop Ahriman from that he's needed for Psychic Scream.

Last night Whembly had a game with this list. 2000pts with random pairings .He drew a DE list raiders ,venoms ,and ravangers . The mission was the relic. Because the DE was all mech’d up the normal psychics (3X psychic shriek) did not have much to do, but an 18 inch nova for Last memory of Uranthos was insane. 2d6 S4 AP5, No Cover saves, Soulblaze Blind every enemy unit in a 37inch bubble (in combat or not a flyers,flying monstrous creatures, invisible units etc). DE AV 10 falls out of the sky..

Had a blast with this list last night.

In the Relic mission, Gates of Infinity isn't really needed... just "another tool in the shed" for this game.

I wished I was more aggressive in popping the Last Memory of Uranthos in every turn. I only fired it off once, and it was devestating against an army of paper airplanes.

I can only image what it could do against units on foot...

Next game, I'll pulse out Last Memory every turn if I can.

One thing I did learn is that with Spell Familiar, you have to pick up all your dice if you need to re-roll (even the 4+ dices). But, other than that... fine times.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the familiar say re-roll failed psychic test "rolls"?
Which in the context of a 7th ed test means the individual dice?

Going off memory so could be wrong.

I don't have the book on me, but you re-roll all the dice if you failed to generate enough warp charge, and thus failed your psychic test.

A psychic test is when you roll the warp charge dice to generate warp charge. Thus, you'd have to reroll the whole test, and not individual warp charge dice.
