Mephiston is described as an unstoppable whirling tornadoe of death with red lightening. That's fething epic. He has also mastered the black rage and red thirst. :p personally it would be an epic battle with something stopping it before it would be finished haha.

And Kharn is Khorne's favored champion, with a kill-tally that shames entire armies, and an axe that never misses.

Also note that Khorne, also god of fairplay and martial honour, would use his Godly might to smother Mephiston's psychic power and allow him and Kharn to fight like real men.
Crunchwise it'd be extremely close assuming no Psychic powers at all. Mephiston strikes first with 4 attacks, hitting with 2 and wounding with 1.67. Kharn saves 0.55 leaving 1.11 wounds.
Then Kharn hits with 4 attacks (assuming no charge bonus or CA), hitting with 2 and reroll for another 1 due to his inbuilt Hatred Incarnate (army of 1, he must be the Warlord) so 3 hits. Wounds on 4+ so 1.5 wounds on Mephiston who is down to 3.
In subsequent rounds Mephiston maintains 1 wound while Kharn drops to 1 wound damage, so by turn 3 Kharn would be dead and Mephiston on 1 wound. That's assuming no charges/counterattacks, Mephiston Warlord trait, psychic powers, Etc.

Mephiston gets 5 attacks. Without charge IIRC. Might be 6. Forgot if he has 4 or 5 attacks base. Automatically Appended Next Post: Also. Mephiston forces kharn to make a leadership check at -4 or he rerolls to hit and wounds

Actually, no. Kharn has 4 attacks base, plus 1 for double CCW, so he gets five attacks in melee, which becomes six if he is charged and seven if he gets to charge.
5 attacks means 4,888888888... hits if we take into account the rerolls from Hatred, which becomes 2,44444444 wounds since Kharn wounds Meph on a 4+ (Base S5, +1 for Gorechild)

Kharn doesn't actually make to-hit rolls, he always hits on a 2+. On a 1 he hits someone else.
Only when he isn't alone.
6th ed CSM codex wrote:The Betrayer: When rolling To Hit with Kharn's melee
attacks, any unmodified rolls of a 1 are not discarded.
Instead, they automatically hit a friendly model (but not
Kharn) locked in the same combat. Randomly determine

6" of Kharn. If there are no viable targets in range, these
Attacks are discarded.

No, he wounds per strength as usual. I messed up and wrote 2+ where I meant 4+

You should specify if so since the posts right before yours referred to Kharn.
And you are wrong there too since Kharn is WS7.

Since I have been referring to Mephiston all this time I thought it would be obvious. I'll remember to do so from now on.
Also you are right. So my bad. Hits on 4s rerolling about 60% of the time.

id like to point out if we are taking everything that buffs mephy (psychic powers, WLT, Transfixing Gaze)) but giving some to Kharn (WLT) its a bit unfair. And dont forget mephy has 4 attacks base, plus he gets +1 for two ccw. Assuming nobody charges, theres no bonus for counter attack or charge. I believe mephy strikes first with I7, and every other turn he rerolls failed to hit and wound from Gaze (being generous) Turn 1: Meph: No gaze, hits with 2.5 attacks, wounds with 2.083, 1.389 taken Kharn, 5 attacks, hits with 4.888, wounding 2.444, Meph: 2.666 wounds left Kharn: 1.611 wounds left Turn 2: Meph: gaze, 3,75 hits, 3.125 wounds, 2.083 taken Kharn: Dead

Yup. He would. Granted its because Kharn can be revived and Mephiston is the "good guy"
Besides that, beating Doombread is meaningless honestly. The fluff is contradictory and goes from Doom fighting Sanguin to being crushed several times.
Main question? Well the answer is obvious! A death company Berzerker brought in by the World Eaters!

Mixed him up with That daemon Ka'Bandha who I believe the Sanguinor has killed solo. Seriously though, fluff is contradictory. Apparently some lore has even claimed that Doombreed was mightier than the DP Primarchs. Then again this is the same world where some GK carved a name into a Daemon Primarchs heart. The reality is that loyalists can't revive while chaos can so either the loyalist escapes somehow or kills the big bad that can simply be revived.

Mephiston has killed two daemon princes in single combat now, M'Kar and Doombreed. Although in M'kar's case, it wasn't even a fight really. Mephiston literally just choked him to death.
Ka'Bandha was defeated by Sanguinius twice during the heresy, and once by the Sanguinor more recently.

And that part where he had a building collapse, suffered from the black rage for six days, pushed aside the wreckage and fought through the force of the orks solo until he reached friendly lines using nothing but his hands and scraps of PA.
