$10 - on paints... Evil GW store employe gave me a free mini.... Well played GW. Well played indeed.

Never cared for any fantasy system. However, AoS is getting back into the hobby: modeling, painting, and playing.

+$8 for 2 White Dwarf issues...

+$5 yesterday for some brush on primer

+$60 for a starter box, sealed, new, free shipping from eBay just now.

So, $83 so far.

I have no interest in the gaudy Sigmarite and Khorne models they've been releasing.

Honestly zero so far. I have several fantasy armies sitting around mostly finished, and no new models have been made to add to them. I'm still waiting to buy off khorne from a starter set from someone for a painting project, sadly not a single one has sold over here

Hate AoS the game but bought tons of models over thousand bucks worth since release. So GW wins rules are free but who needs them models cost a lot and sell alot.

So far $62 for the Stormcast Eternals half of the starter set, an extra Liberator, and the booklet from the Starter Set. I think this will probably be my only purchases too.

Zero how its going to stay. They honestly should have just redone fantasy and made it playable again. I would have happily gave them some money to start a new fantasy army with a new set of rules (not AoS!) fantasy wasn't dwindling because there's no interest just like epic, battlefleet gothic, blood bowl ect ect it was dwindling because GW didn't care about it or update it.

Literally I love the systems and world but GW man is the worst gaming company around dumb as a bag of hammers. They bring back epic, battlefleet and fantasy im there for all three man.

I mean just before end times dropped i was about to buy a whole new army of dwarf's instead they got no money.

Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,
and the ends of the earth your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son,
lest he be angry, and you perish in the way,
for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

After dropping GW when they released the Worst Ruleset Known To Man with Warhammer 8, and then heavily criticizing and making fun of Age of Sigmar, I have now found myself a fan and having purchased

2 starter sets
1 of every Stormcast Eternals release

and a new Nurgle army.

So probably over a thousand dollars.

This is after having spent maybe three hundred in the last few years on Lord of the Rings models - my only previous GW purchases in five years.

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

WHFB and circle bases aside, I've spent about £6 in the app on scenarios.

That's gonna change when the Fyre Slayers come out, oh yes!

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

I'm at around $3k I think, including my previous purchases listed on first page of this thread.

Bought all the new terrain, all the Battletomes, all the novels, audiobooks and started a Stormcast army, with Knights Excelsior upgrades for all of them.

Just finished painting my Knight Venator. Love that model, and I'll use the spare parts to make the other variant( Knight Azyros?) out of a normal Prosecutor. Or I'll make a custom Lord Castellant out of the spare parts.

A few of the podcasts that I listen to have started focusing on Stormcast, so it was perfect timing, as I can listen to them as I build and paint.

0.

I may pick up some WFB kits in the future, but they will be for use in other games (KoW, D'n'D).

I don't like the style of the new miniatures at all though so likely any new stuff I get will be from the old range.

I have Orcs and Goblins, Chaos, Dwarves and Undead armies sitting around, but I'm not interested in a wargame with no balancing mechanic - RPGs are there for me if I want narrative gaming.

The starter box, 1 each of the stormcast kits not including Celestant Prime (which I'll get at some point, but I haven't yet), and 1 each of the non Khorne terrain.

At a 25% discount (or more), I think it was less than $500.

The only money I've spent on AOS was for the WD with rules. Not sure if the game has been worth the money I've spent.

You know I'm considering getting that new sorcerer on disk.

Not for AoS though, so I'm not sure if you count that.

Well it’s been 2 months since I walked into a GW with my two sons after an absence (for myself) of over 20 years and both myself and my boys were immediately hooked on AoS.
Since then I (and them with pocketmoney + Christmas/Birthday money) have purchased the following:

AoS Starter box set
6 brushes
Clippers
Moulding tool
Drill
60 paints
4 spray cans
Largest Citadel carry box
Archaon
Bloodthirster
Additional set of Khorne from starter set (2nd hand)
Wrathmongers
Skullreapers
Skulltaker
Skarr Bloodwrath (2nd hand)
Exalted Deathbringer
Celestant Prime
Judicators
Knight Vexillor
Knight Heraldor
Verminlord
Skaven Battalion
Stormfiends
Lord Kroak (2nd hand)
Carnosaur
Engine of the Gods
Terradons
Skinks (eBay)
Saurus Warriors (eBay)
Zombie Dragon (eBay)
Frostheart Phoenix (2nd hand)

So a fair bit of cash so far!

The only thing I've bought was the first ebook supplement they released, Warhammer Age of Sigmar. After spending several days trying to find a ereader that could read the stupid format GW used, I read through the book and decided I wasn't interested in AoS.

Its still zero but you know im glad aos came out I used to be constantly pulled towards buying more fantasy but now its AoS I can focus on other games/40k and never do my thoughts drift to fantasy anymore I no longer have to worry about impulse buying a whole army because AoS is as interesting and alluring to me as paint drying on a wall.

Just one less money obstacle removed from my path.
