Thanks guys. Always motivating to get nice comments

No posts recently but steady progress. The traitors themselves are now pretty much done but I need to do bases next, in the same vein as other BSF models. Hexy blueness incoming.

Should get sorted in the next couple of days.

First time doing non-white.skin tones. Taking it easy just with hands and a partially obscured face, but I plan to do a few more open faces guys in the next squad as I think this looks pretty good.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

And the squad is done.

Just another 7 to go... but I might run through the negavolts first just to cleanse the palate... might depend on what the next painting comp brings in terms of theme

Anyway, pics. There are a couple of bits I'm not super happy with, such as the open faced guy (the face is lacking contrast) and the grenadiers lasgun (I kinda forgot about it and just made it a bit too bland of a grey). On the other hand, quite happy with the flamer muzzle and the dark skin tones. Certainly good enough for the chaff of the Abyss

And with the whole red team together

Great looking red team, I’m still really liking the heavily rusted metals. Keep up the great work!

Oh good grief... last update was May last year... life has unfortunately taken an anti-hobby turn while we try to.sell the house and the kids bedtime schedule.has altered radically.

Oh well. While I've not been able to do any painting, I have been able to play with my christmas present... 3D printer ahoy!

I found some really nice 3d scenery bits from Thingiverse
https://www.thingiverse.com/Gflinty/collections/blackstone

And I've now been printing some of them up.

I was planning on painting them at some point, but I'm actually rather liking the effect of the gold filament I happened to have in the machine at the.time

Printing the 3rd set of wall obstacles just now before doing another grav lift and maybe the big cubic obstacle thingies. I'll.probably not do the corridors though as i think the cards are plenty clear about those.

Looks cool!

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

I build IG...lots and lots of IG.

Good luck with the house move! It’s a real pain in my experience!

I’m very jealous of the Blackstone scenery, I don’t have a 3D Printer but have been tempted by the dragons rest stuff on eBay. Your gold filament works well without paint I think

Thanks guys.

I managed to print the 3rd set of scenery and I think it matches the board artwork nicely. Missing the big drill thing, but in 3d that might have made the piece unusable...

Used silver this time as befitting the more mechanical nature, but on reflection the artwork has the bits in a bronzy gold colour so I might do another set. They are all pretty good for kill team or necromunda as well anyway
