Lynx, Warp Hunter and Phantom Titan. If we add 30k, then Triaros.

All in all, Forgeworld vehicles have so much better design. Even so cosmetic changes like „Type II” kits for Eldar tanks make so much difference. This is most annoying with Falcon and Wave Serpent turrets, because there is no good reason why „Type II” turrets could’t be the basic version.

I do have a soft spot for old boxnauts -- but specifically the Ironclad.

If I had to pick just ONE favorite vehicle of all time, though. . . I guess I'd have to go with the Cerastus Knight Atrapos. There's just something so menacing about it. It doesn't have the "knightly" look of the other cerastus knights--more rounded and sleek, but almost alien at the same time.

They're basically identical except the plastic one has a much inferior auto-launcher. I found some of the metal ones for my plastic nauts to fix that grevious error.

I think it’s equal parts the nostalgic and satisfying heft of the metal version, and the kind of disappointing and boring to build plastic kit.

The Venerable Dread is much nice, and suits plastic.

No, that'd be my metal Thunderhawk. My box dreads are just paving bricks condensed into something the size of baseballs.

Somewhere in Canada

I put in a shout out to the Exorcist earlier, but the truth is it's really hard to pick- I like so many!

I've seen a couple votes for the Valkyrie, which I LOVE, but I also wanted to say that if FW still made the six-wheeled Elysian buggy that they Skytalon variant was made to carry, the pair would be my fave. But without that buggy, there is very little use for the Skytalon- I've asked before if there's anything else in the range it would look good carrying, and I don't think there were any really good responses.

Forgeworld also unlocks the Kharon Pattern Acquisitor, which is just the creepiest thing GW has ever made. I really wanted 40k rules for it.

That acquisitor thing looks so appropriate for what it’s supposed to be, but other than that doesn’t appeal too much. The Valkyrie is an underrated model too. You’re right, there are so many good kits. I keep agreeing with people but forgetting I’ve made my choices already.

The Land Raider. Simply iconic. You can keep all the fancy Marine floating tanks and flying boxes that came afterr, nothing is as cool as a Land Raider.

Although Defilers are cool.

I vote either Baneblade, Valkyrie or the Imperial knight models. The baneblade is what ever tank aspires to be. The valk is an excellent model that looks like it would actually work irl. The knight finally isa great model to build and looks really imposing.

I too shall vote boxy dread, or the humble 2001 Rhino just from a customization and assembly ease.
Half of my rhino/variant models aren't even fully glued or magnetized together, the floor and inner crew compartment walls are as well as the track segments; but everything else from the side hulls, top hull/track guard, turret ring plate, and cockpit glacis plate are just snugly snap fitted or sitting on top of the rest. The parts are simple enough that personalize between factions means changing a paint job and slapping some extra bits on it, instead of filing off details baked into the core parts.

I like a lot of them but I was most disappointed in the new primaris vehicles hoverin? Come on hovering is just bad for space marines outside of maybe bikes

This is a tough one. I'm torn between the Land Raider and the Dreadnought.

I think I have to go Dreadnought.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.

As a 12 year old I made an awful paper and card one from a white dwarf article, made another later in my teens that was pretty good, bought the forgeworld one and realised how annoying resin could be. Then the plastic beauty came out and I was in heaven. LOVE IT. (Had three at one point) down to one now, but need a shadow sword as well.

i really like land raiders, but i personally think the deimos pattern predator looks better... never owned one though, probably rectifying that soon as it goes into plastic.

However, my bsolute favourite is the malcador.

i don't know why, but i just like it, riveted armor, outlying fuel and trench crossing help, the turret has just something menancing to it.

shame it is fw and resin though .

Chaos marines players: "Since when are Daemonengines 30k models and why do i have NO droppods now?"
GW" MONEY.... erm i meant TOO MANY OPTIONS (to resell your army to you again by disalowing former units)! Do you want specific tyranid fighiting Primaris? Even a new sabotage lieutnant!"
Chaos players: Guess i stop playing or go to HH.

My favorite is the neat little vehicle that has been serving as my (now nurglefied) avatar for over a decade.

It was one of the reasons for me to start 40k, and it's still one of my favorite models off all time. Some of the newer vehicles like buggies or the PBC have matched or supassed it in terms of looks and ease to build, but it's modularity is unmatched.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

In terms of original Rogue Trader vehicles?

The metal Ork Buggy.

It is wildly out of scale? Yes.

Not just by modern standards but even when it came out, wildly out of scale? Of course.

Is it a fantastically Orky design? 100%

It’s just so stripped down. And ludicrously overgunned. It’s thrown together with only those two considerations in mind. And being so low to the ground, any speed is gonna feel that much faster.

The driver gets to go fasta dan fast, and the gunner gets to be all shooty. They don’t need anymore.

I'll add my vote to the Valkyrie. Such an impressive, solid kit, excellent update of its FW predecessor, easy to build, not too fiddly to transport (looking at you, Archaeopter), lovely interior detail.

Honorable mentions have to be the current (second) Land Raider, which was a massive step up compared to RT/2e plastics, the Baneblade and the Imperial Knight. And I know I might be alone on this, but I also love the Leman Russ.

Bad year tyres too. All the ork vehicles from then appeared you to be piloted by juvenile orks. When 3rd came out and orks changed I had to get rid of the lot. So wish I’d kept it all.

"Because the Wolves kill cleanly, and we do not. They also kill quickly, and we have never done that, either. They fight, they win, and they stalk back to their ships with their tails held high. If they were ever ordered to destroy another Legion, they would do it by hurling warrior against warrior, seeking to grind their enemies down with the admirable delusions of the 'noble savage'. If we were ever ordered to assault another Legion, we would virus bomb their recruitment worlds; slaughter their serfs and slaves; poison their gene-seed repositories and spend the next dozen decades watching them die slow, humiliating deaths. Night after night, raid after raid, we'd overwhelm stragglers from their fleets and bleach their skulls to hang from our armour, until none remained. But that isn't the quick execution the Emperor needs, is it? The Wolves go for the throat. We go for the eyes. Then the tongue. Then the hands. Then the feet. Then we skin the crippled remains, and offer it up as an example to any still bearing witness. The Wolves were warriors before they became soldiers. We were murderers first, last, and always!" —Jago Sevatarion
