Yeah the Kopta came up great. He was a nice test for when I get around to doing my own (he already matches the painted Orks I have).

I really hope everything else comes through, so we can see the final army together.

Going to take the gang to WHW this weekend and get some photos of them on some of the big terrain pieces. I will have to PVA glue bases on to some of their slotta tabs. Deal with it in the name of fun.

I just sent out 9 new PMs for Europe and North America to get some addresses organised.

In the UK, there is pretty much whatever BC can liberate from the hands of other people when it comes to orks, in the US we have a Kopta and two boys and a nob that are unaccounted for, in addition to whatever oadie has up his sleeve. Beyond this, Redflex has a collection of orks that he wants to donate, so I will work out something!

I was inspired by this project to get back into my own orks and the project on the table (so to speak... in my house anything actually on the table ends up in the hands of a 2 year old!) was an old kannon in need of a chassis. I ended up scratch building three new big gunz for my orks one of which (plus some dirt-cheap-ebay-rescue crew) has been donated to da clan as a thanks for getting me back into my 40k again.

I threw in the Runtherd so that if enough folks toss in a spare grot with their painted boy we might end up with enough for a full gretchin squad in da Dakka Dakka Clan!

Well, after some careful selection for what to donate, the model has arrived and work has begun. Never tried Ork stuff before, but I really like the Dakka Clan idea and want to get in on it while the WAAAGH is good.



And the eye LEDs are from an electric candle, so they flicker randomly. Like all Ork things probably do.

I would offer to be a US distribution point, but I'm possibly moving in the next few months, so I would hate to miss a package.

If it helps, I have... let's say "several" spare Ork Boyz I could send to some US-based folks.

Hey, thanks for the encouraging responses everyone. There's actually a lot of space inside the Deff Dread body, even with the LEDs in there:

For the visual test, all I did was stick a coin battery between the prongs.
Which, actually works long-term if it's a terrain piece, but I don't want kb to have to reseat the battery every time he makes an assault. You can see a hole drilled at the base of the body cavity, which is where the switch will go. Picked up the battery holder today, so we'll see what I can get done tonight. Turn on some MWG batreps, put my death budgie on my shoulder, and go nuts.

That's brilliant, I am trying to scrounge up more stuff here and abroad as well - hopefully spring will return oadie to the mix and the Americans can get in on the action
