Thanks Graven! Part of that may be the sloppy paint on the base below it, which will be cleaned up. But I might consider some more glowing sea creatures in the future, it does look cool!

Lol tbh I could easily make up an army of these little guys, they were super easy to paint.

I did warn the pink wasn't gonna last (I have a few pink barnacles that I'm gonna end up doing cream remaining).




Note also the seaweed with the little "peas" in it or whatever they are. I had a lot of fun painting that little thing!

Still turned out good i 'd say.

The tiny barnacles and sea critters are glorious, even if they are mostly no longer pink!

Thanks both of you! Just a small update, I did the gems on belly armour. I only photographed the ones that are most exposed.

This unit is coming along great. Your bold color choices really stand out against their pale skin.

I have to echo the praise for your color scheme. The pale skin and the bold colors make for a good contrast.

Looking good Gwyn, all the sea critters are cool extras to have. I certainly love the pink on them! I also think these are turning out to be your best work yet! No pressure to finish them as such. Best of luck with the exams

Thank you! They're intended to be a super colourful break from my Nighthaunt and Necrons, opportunities to play with blues and oranges I don't use otherwise. I'm enjoying them a lot!

I have ambitions of one day doing that fancy water resin effects along the bottom of the bases, but these will do for now

So far I've just got some base levels down. The metal is a bit TOO heavily weathered at this point, but I also intend to hit it with Agrax and then drybrush metallics over it to bring it back. Otherwise, this is the first base coat of purple and bone. Other than the green eyes and tubes, everything else you see will be worn metal!

The fishy elves came out great Gwyn, a suitable break from the grim darkness! You really seem to have upped your painting with these guys, lots of cool details, I especially like the fade on the orange tassels. The only tiny bit that bothers me is the bits of basing material on the sides of the base. A quick scrape with your knife or smooth with a file would sort that out a treat before painting the rim. Can’t wait to see the Murder Buckets finished too, such cool minis
