I don't know the answer but it's pretty hard to answer if know ones what your army is like. The only thing people can tell you is what they like to take. It's like asking what the best unit is.

Stormsword.

10" template, S10, ignores cover. You lose the demolisher cannon, but that much instant-death-causing killy death is going to put some serious hurt.

Oh, and AP1. Kills 1/3 of the vehicles you penetrate, and jink be damned.

30 str6 rending tank hunter BS4 shots is pretty mean againgst any single target.

And with the 40 model capacity, you can stick 13 heavy weapon teams inside it and fire 20 models from its platform.

First they raised prices on the Eldar, and I did not speak out because I did not play Eldar.

Then, they raised prices on the Orks, and I did not speak out because I did not play Orks.

Then, they raised prices on the Nids, and I did not speak out because I did not play Nids.

Then, they raised prices on the Marines, and there was nobody to speak out for me.

It's hard not to find a use for a Baneblade's firepower in any given turn.

It basically has the combined firepower of a Leman Russ squadron on a single chassis.

There's a reason the HellHammer is the most expensive version, because it's the best. It may be even better then the Shadow Sword now with the nerfs to StrD.

I think it's fairly obvious that the OP is looking for an Imperial option.
I could be wrong however.

I don't have an army in mind for AM yet, I was looking to build an army around whatever Baneblade variant appeared to stand above the rest. Its hard to build an 1750 list until you know how many point you need for the lord of war.

I don't think pask can be on any tank other then a lemon, correct me if I'm wrong.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

If you need to be able to erase anything with AV once a turn, shadowsword. If you need to be able to delete anything with Sv in a 10" blast anywhere on the board, baneblade. If you want transport, stormlord. With the baneblade you don't need ignores cover as much as you did, since area terrain doesnt exist as it did and you measure LOS from the center of the blast.

Resin Printer (minaitures) is a 4K printer with one of the largest build volumes available for a resin printer (192mm x 120mm x 245mm) with an amazing .01mm resolution! This professional printer is one of the best resin printers on the market!

FDM Printer (terrain) also has one of the largest build volumes available for an FDM printer (400mm x 400mm x 450mm) and has an amazing ,05mm build accuracy.

The Baneblade has no Barrage weapons(which are the Blast weapons that measure LOS from the center).

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

Woops, my bad. Brain was on autopilot, I run 3 basilisks, Manticore, and a MoO so the rules for blast weapons got muddled up with barrage. Thanks for pointing that out!

The relatively small blast marker on the ShadowSword is what kills it for me. SD is nice but so is hitting more models more frequently.

I am also curious about this since I have a Baneblade painted and ready to fight. It seems like a solid choice now given the nerfs to S: D weapons.

Thought for the day: Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Bolt Action Germans: ~1200 pts
AOS Stormcast: Just starting.
The Empire : ~60-70 models.
