In a narrative campaign we decided to have a minor Warp god show up to feth gak up.
This is supposed to be decent for the points, but not great.
This is here to see what people think of the balance.
Points: 2500
Unit Type: Gargantuan Creature
WS:8 BS:4 S:10 T:10 W:15 I:1 A:6 SV: 2+/ 3++
Wargear: Flaming Sword, Volcanic Armor
Special Rules: Fear, Fearless, Hatred (SM), Earthshattering Might, Burning Hide
Flaming Sword: Kresh's sword measures nearly a hundred feet long. Kresh has D3 smash attacks (not 1 as per 6th edition rules) that use the Hellstorm template and are S: D
Earthshattering Might: Kresh stands over 200 feet tall, and his form is covered in muscle. His stomp attacks use a 5" blast template.
Burning Hide: Kresh's hide burns with the might of a volcanic eruption. All models (friendly or otherwise) within 6 inches of Kresh take a S:8 AP:- hit at the beginning of each assault phase.
Volcanic Armor: Kresh's armor grants him the save above while reducing the Strength of all Melta, Plasma, Flamer, and Fusion weapons attempting to wound him by 3. S: D becomes S:10 if from one of the above sources.
Burn the World: Whenever Kresh wipes out a unit or removes the last model he inflicts his own brand of soul blaze to every enemy unit in 12 inches (D6 S:6 AP:4 hits, and continues on a 3+)

Finally found my quote from a gym buddy born and raised in South Korea:

"It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
"It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.
"It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag." |

How do you work out using hell storm template as a CC attack?

The attacks are kind of batty and confusing.
If I read this correctly, he places 6 hellstorm templates whenever he attacks? And then d3 5" blast stomps?
Yeah, that's a little much. I'd say keep the stomps, but make it so he either gets one "hellstorm attack" or his 6 normal attacks.

A thought I had on his attacks that you may wish to consider:
I believe there should be stipulations to targeting the Hellstorm swing. I say this because he could theoretically use a prolonged combat as something of a bunker, while he uses the Hellstorm attack to snipe out at things not engaged in that combat. As a quick and dirty example, let's say he is fighting a big mob of Gaunts. Sure he could simply smash them all, but what is to prevent him from using that template swing to "shoot" at the Hive Tyrant that is engaged elsewhere? In that example, the gaunts actually become an amazing bunker from him. He can't be shot at, but he may "shoot" out with his template, ensuring he hits very few gaunts so they stay in the combat longer. It gets even better if he is totally surrounded and cannot be reached by any other assault units.
I would change the wording of the template swing to indicate that he must ensure the maximum number of models in his fight are covered, to at least minimize that chance.

Not true.
Attacks and wounds are NOT capped at 10. Unless I missed a major change in 7th.

I haven't had a proper look at these rules yet but:
You're saying what appears to be the literal god of fire in 40k has less resistance to fire than a small part of a god who doesn't really do fire?

This guy needs a super soul blaze rule, and some sort of rule for fire spreading. Maybe if he wipes out a unit, every unit within 12" gets a soul blaze counter.
His soul blaze does D6 S6 AP4 hits.
Gets Really Hot - All shooting attacks within 12" of him gain the gets hot rule, those with gets hot fail on a 1 or 2.
And if it wasn't obvious, he's a daemon.
Not sure why he hates spacemarines.

You realize thresh is an agricultural term (I am assuming you are rrying to be symbolic with the name if you are not ignore my comment and carry on with your life) threshing has nothing to do with fire.

It means to tear apart organic matter (plants). Something fire does well.
The model is still a wip.

The model looks great though I'd advise doing anything that could make him look less like a Balrog. Removing the wings was a good start but unless you're gonna include rules for the tail might as well make it short and stubby.
Also you can never go wrong with tusks when making demons.
As for the rules well when I look at them compared to the model they look pretty good. Not going to lie I love the idea of a minor warp god showing up to create havoc. And you have created him to be very powerful but not stupid which is good.

Thanks.
Should I add armor?
It'd be super easy to sculpt plates from clay soaked in metallic paint.

fire does nit tear plants, it consumes them and burns them. RIP AND TEAR and burning are entirely different.
