Across all of the games we play, we certainly accumulate a lot of bits and parts and what I want to know is what is your favorite bit from any game's kits.

For me, it is the sword from this guy:

How about you?

Simple metal wire spears. Really.

http://www.grippingbeast.com/product.php?ItemID=1640

They've made converting my Lord of the Rings figures (e.g. Warriors of Minas Tirith > Warriors of Arnor) really fun and easy.

They're versatile - I think I could attach axe heads to the ends and then they'll make good long axes (e.g. convert Grimhammers > Erebor themed Khazad Guard).

And I use the off cuts for pinning.

Kinda difficult one, being a gun lover I would say one of the firearms from the Sternguard kits. I bought and loved both, but I think the sighted boltguns with drum-magazines to illustrate the larger ammunition loud-outs looks the bees knees, especially when compared with the regular gakky bolters found on the AOBR marines or something.

The combi-weapons look mint as well.

I'm a fan of the dark reaper aspect anyway so Ra's weapon just does it for me.

The blade from the halberd of skaven storm vermin has been pushed into use on a huge number of 40k models, particularly chaos marines.

Spoiler:

I used the Umbra Ferrox boltguns from Forgeworld. £11 for 10 boltguns.

And I based my Raven Guard Sternguard on the Horus Heresy Legion Recon Squad. Sternguard with camo cloaks and Boltguns with scopes & box mags.

Spoiler:

They were a real pain in the arse to assemble though - the Legion Recon Squad is designed to hold Sniper rifles and shotguns, not super bulky (by Boltgun standards) boltguns.

Iron armor helmets for 40k. Hands down the best helmet I've come across.

Probably warscythes from the lychguard kit. They are just so versatile; I can stick them on lords, convert them into staffs for crypteks, etc etc.

This is a tough one. If I had to choose I'd probably say the adl/bastion turret box. I've uses them in the kits themselves, terrain, a turret for a hydra and wyvern, and for a thunder fire cannon. Lots of potential.

In face the whole DA Ravenwing sprue is full of great stuff, angels, icons, assault cannons, one of my all time favorite spures.

But my favorite spure is definitely the Empire militia, so many useful arms and bits.
