I thought I would try something new and field a chaos sorcerer in my mono-khorne army, but would like to keep the Blood God's theme up. I had glanced at Valkya the bloody because fielding a Sorceress in 40k feels like a nice departure from the 40k norm, but she doesn't look conversion firendly. Anyone else have any ideas? Does any one have the Valkya mini and think I'm wrong about her convert-ability?
I went to Hershey Park in central PA this year, and I have to say I was more than a little disappointed. I fully expected the entire theme park to be make entirely of chocolate, but no. Here in America, we have "building codes," and some other nonsense about chocolate melting if don't store it someplace kept below room temperature.

Depending on how much you're willing to spend/what bitz you have available/how in depth you want this conversion to be, a good place to start would probably be with one of the existing sorcerer models. I'd go with this guy since he's already got a cool pose. Then, if it were me building him, i'd replace the sword with a chain axe and then lop off his head and replace it with either...
Spoiler:
this head. (the bare head with the horns)
or this head.
Depending on what upgrades you plan on giving him, you might look to the possessed kit. Demonic wings, hoofed legs for a more bestial appearance, etc.
Of course, if you don't want to do to much converting then maybe take someone like Huron Blackheart. Since he's already kind of sorcerish looking, give him a slightly more khorny head and he's good to go.
Another easy conversion would be Draznicht from the Dark Vengeance kit. He's got 3 eyes, kinda khorne looking already. Again, just replace the mace head with a chain axe head and he's good to go.
Well you could also go a totally different road and include at least a bit of khornes hate for sorcerers.
Build him with torn and broken armor, covered in his own blood and wrapped in chains like a prisoner.
Something like: "Remember spell-thrower, you'r only alive because we need you. But make one mistake and my axe won't miss your head next time. SKULLS FOR THE SKULL-THRONE!"

Dam. Any ideas where to start for a base for a conversion like this? I'm still gravitating toward Valkya the Bloody, and just tying her down, like she's trying to fly away but can't. Also, while I'm at it, does anyone know if its easy to get/ sculpt chains for this purpose?
Actually, I posted 3 threads with the same topic. Anyone know how to delete them?

No. They just gradually let them die out and didn't bother replacing them because they couldn't take the Butcher's Nails and by the time of Betrayer (novel) they had just one left. At which point
Spoiler:
Angron became a Daemon Prince and ate him. Literally ate him whole.

Well it mostly depends on how you want to portrait your psyker and how much money/time you want to throw at this project. You could start with a robed body and cut tears into the fabrik, get the tzeentch sorcerer head from the standard csm box and whatever arms you find suitable for reposing. And if you want to keep Valkya the Bloody as a base model maybe add some parchments to her or scrolls and books. There are some fantasy bits that work well for that, as well as scrolls in the black templar bit sprue.
Sculpting acceptable chains onto a surface isn't too hard. But I recommend a few tries before adding them to the model. If you want free hanging ones either get some from existing kits like various chaos decoration bits. Or simply use small actual chains that you can simply glue to your model. They stay relatively stable once covered in super glue. I did this a few times myself already. Just put them somewhere where there is less risk of the glue breaking and you are golden. Alternatively Zinge has some flexible resin ones to use: http://zinge.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=17&product_id=263 I never used those. But I believe you just heat them and bent them into shape. I however don't know if any of those approaches can hold up a model on its own. You are probably better off hiding an actual wire somewhere.

In the souldrinkers book phalanx there is a guy the souldrinkers fight that might fit the bill for a known sorcerer. He used some madness to make an entire city become paranoid and kill themselves then used the blood to write down equations or something on the walls. Well anyways when he was attacked he wrote in the air and wounds would appear on his enemies unless they were really quick about moving. When he was about to be killed he revealed words carved into his body that acted as protective wards. I hope this helps.
I forgot he also had blood letters as troops to protect him.
