I wanted to make some action-filled diorama for a long time, so that stegodon was doomed from the beginning. This is, actually, a big experiment, as i tried a lot of new (for me) things here.
The story is quite simple here: a dozen of pirate daredevils prepares an ambush for the gold-carrying stegadon. Those PP pirates was the best choice available, as they have a strong "old GW" feel, so i used them instead of GW minis. The stegadon heavily converted with magic sculp.

It looks like a painting.

Fabulous work all round. As with all good dioramas, there are tons of little bits to keep you coming back to it for more.

Top-notch!

Damn, Nakatan! Like all your work, the painting is simply astounding. However, I feel like the lush foliage is the real, stand-out winner here.

Amazing, as always - painting, posing, groundwork are all top-notch. What always amazes most, though, are the faces. Subtle touches, like the positions of the pupils, give each individual model a direct focus and really add to the believability of a scene, in terms of both realism (who would be staring off into space, at a time like that?) and establishing narrative (a lot of emotion and intent is carried in the eyes, specifically, beyond just general facial expression).

Great mixture of company models. This is what it's all aboot! Great diorama, doesn't need you to tell the story for it as it's got its own adventure laid out perfect. Excellent painting, planning, converting, musket firing. A+ Your flocking skills sir are awesome.. You must share your technique!

Thank you everyone. It`s the most imortant part of the painter`s work - to get a feedback from viewers (notably, so gentle as all of you =))

Gorgeous painting! And I love how dynamic the scene looks, and full of details. The foliage is especially well done.

Congrats!
