I saw it, it was pretty good. the effects are not up to par with the walking dead and it seems to be more on the lighter side. but I'd say it's worth watching.

actually about to watch it right now,
has potential from the description, but lets see if sy fy can screw this up as we all expect them too. Automatically Appended Next Post: im torn... not sure if I liked it or not.
on the one hand, the happy go lucky non super serious approach works for zombies.
other hand, looks like they need to tighten up on some camera work and, um... lets just say plausible event continuity
definitely give the 2nd episode a go and see how it plays out.

Caught episode 1. If the idea is that it's supposed to be campy or light-hearted, it fails at that IMO. For one thing, the actors seem to be trying very hard to play things SO seriously and intensely. It definitely felt like the "made for SyFy" version of Walking Dead, and made me appreciate Walking Dead's production values, writing, and acting even more. I don't think I'll be watching it again.

Yeah I really didn't enjoy it either. They won't be able to "beat" the walking dead, and they missed the opportunity to make it so bad it's good Sharknado style. They killed off 1 of 2 actors I cared about watching, and #2 is probably going to be stuck in a bunker just reading lines to no one for the rest of the show.

Not true. Eureka, Warehouse 13, and Haven disagree with you. But yeah, they do produce some stinkers.

I'm afraid your confused. The above 3 shows were created by the Scifi channel, not SyFy (though Haven didn't air until after the NBC take over). Easy mistake (Also, I still think those shows suck Eureka was okay until season 3).

Fair enough. I did like the Defiance though Which I'm pretty sure was Sy-Fy. But outside of that you might be right....

Nah I liked old Scifi. They were all about campy original movies, Star Gate, Battlestar Galactica, and awesome reruns of the X-Files, Quantum Leap, and other classics (maybe they still do that). Then they started airing wrestling (seriously, that' a complete wtf on par with G4 becoming the 'Cops' channel), and completely forgot that that made their channel awesome was it's campiness and they started trying to be a prime time television network. Thus was the beginning of the end

I'm still pissed about G4 buying out TechTV.

That's not really G4's fault. That was NBC (again)
NBC, the EA of television. They take awesome things and ruin them.

It's actually more of a double whammy, cause I hate Comcast for reasons separate from NBC (I didn't even know Comcast owned NBC till the net neutrality thing came up). Comcast service is terrible. By far the worst of the cable companies (and that's like calling the green turd worse than the other brown turds). NBC at least brought us Law and Order, and Grimm, and Hannibal and the greatest program of Amiercan history, Days of Our Lives What has Comcast got? gakky internet and cable boxes held together with elmers and rubber bands.
