We said no vehicles. Sorry if you weren't there, it's just that too many vehicles were just being countered straight away with broadsides or vindicare assassins. It got repetitive.
Can you beat it without a vehicle (I think that transports are OK).

2 Thunderifre Cannons. They have airburst rounds to ignore cover.


And removing vehicles pretty much rules out guard, because guard infatry can't go toe-toe with anythng, save Tau Fire Warriors.

True. How about a system where we aren't allowed vehicles with armour values (front, side and rear) that add up to over 33. This allows transports and light tanks e.g. the ravager, but nothing too heavy.
And anyway, broadsides pretty much rule out guard, so don't bother with them.

Yea, right... Except a Guard Infantry platoon is a small army in and of itself...

This was just after saying broadsides can take out any IG vehicles, and orks are better than IG vs. broadsides.

Which reminds me, 8 warbikers vs. the thunderfires, 200pts. 4+ cover and armour, T5, even 8 blasts won't do very well against them, especially if there's a lot of LoS blocking terrain.

We got into a loop of using broadsides of vindicare assassins too much and then going to orks, vehicles, then broadsides or vindicares. It got boring, so we decided to not use vehicles any more (although I think a transport would be fine). It was me and im2randomghgh who decided this.

If it gets into a loop the thread gets closed, and we all agreed that the thread would be better without vehicles than as a closed thread. If you dispute this then message the OP, but I think most people would agree this was a sensible thing to do.

Well the way I feel this, it's kinda like this: Some guys keep repeating themselves and we all suffer for it.
If one guy is annoying the teacher, should the entire class be expelled?

I mean sure, Necrons Deamons wouldn't care much (just 1 vehicle), Tyranids don't care since they do not have vehicles, however the other codex have a fair share of good vehicles.
Why not just ban the Vindicare Assasin and the XV88, just like Marbo is banned, and keep the rest of the vehicles?

Then again, it's just my opinion.

Funny, I was about to say the same thing.
Afterall, we banned Marbo. Banning two units is easier than banning a whole type of unit.

i think it stopped at 50 boyz, so 5 eldar warwalkers with scatterlasers. About 300. No boyzmob is gonna survive 40 s6 shots, and they only have sluggas and furious charge too glance the walkers.

banning Vehicles just negates Crons.
