We got into a loop of using broadsides of vindicare assassins too much and then going to orks, vehicles, then broadsides or vindicares. It got boring, so we decided to not use vehicles any more (although I think a transport would be fine). It was me and im2randomghgh who decided this.

If it gets into a loop the thread gets closed, and we all agreed that the thread would be better without vehicles than as a closed thread. If you dispute this then message the OP, but I think most people would agree this was a sensible thing to do.

Well the way I feel this, it's kinda like this: Some guys keep repeating themselves and we all suffer for it.
If one guy is annoying the teacher, should the entire class be expelled?

I mean sure, Necrons Deamons wouldn't care much (just 1 vehicle), Tyranids don't care since they do not have vehicles, however the other codex have a fair share of good vehicles.
Why not just ban the Vindicare Assasin and the XV88, just like Marbo is banned, and keep the rest of the vehicles?

Then again, it's just my opinion.

Afterall, we banned Marbo. Banning two units is easier than banning a whole type of unit.

The point of stopping people from using vehicles was because there are far too many units good at taking them out and people will always settle on one or two and thus start going in a circle. Banning Marbo is banning Marbo: there's no-one like him. Banning vindicares and broadsides simply calls in some of the millions of other stuff great at destroying tanks, for example melta vets in a valkyrie, las predators, units of 4 trueborn with blasters in venoms, fire dragons in wave serpents, I could go on. Yes, all of those included vehicles, but I always said that transports should be fine.

Here's the choice: No vehicles or stop using about half of the choices in any of the codices simply because they can take out any vehicles worth their points value. Hell, we'd end up stopping wyches and swooping hawks because they can take haywire grenades, or pathfinders for emp grenades!
