Give a good special rule to a unit that it would be wasted on.

Check the errata Models with the Demon of Khorne rule (which doesn't give Rage) can take it too, namely Demon Princes.

Blacksword Missiles? Doesn't ring a bell? And GW insisting on removing Missile Lock from Nephelim despite that new version of this USR in fact works with this missiles allowing to rerole to Hit rolls.

On the topic: Strikedown on D-streangth weapons. Most of the time thing hit by it are dead anyway.

Except that's not useless. If the unit assaulting the rhino fails the fear check then they hit the rhino on 4+ instead of 3+

Precision shots on the Harlequin Solitaire.

My only thought on when this would come into play would be him throwing a haywire grenade at a special formation squadron of walkers like something in the ork codex where there's two kinds of walkers in a squadron?

Haywire nades are the only shooting phase weapon he can ever use...

Also, stikkbomb launcher on ork vehicles.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Perhaps I'm wrong but... Don't stikkbomm chukkas allow the vehicle to 'throw' assault grenades? It's another small blast, so it's not completely worthless.

Krush, stomp, kill!

Works very nicely on the new Death Ray though.

This is interesting and correct. You don't get the re-rolling, so....

That is dumb. I mean your suggestion, not the rules. Bolters, Lasgun, Pulse Rifles, any basic weapon will fit this rule.

Here are my picks:

- Assault Grenades on Gargants and Ravenent Titan. They are already I1.

- Furious Charge on Dreadknight and Wraithknight. You can still get this from Warlord Trait. And I always lament when my Dreadknight has it.

- Master Crafted range weapon on anyone with BS10.

- Iron Halo on any character with Storm Shield. I am talking about you, Draigo and Lysander.

Actually, that'd be helpful if you fought tzeench daemons due to the warpflame rule.

IIRC, primary weapon lets you roll 2 dice and pick the highest (just like ordnance), so wouldn't that help to avoid rolling those 1's?

Enfeeble gives -1 Str, and if you need str 10 to double something out...

Handy for snap shots like overwatch or firing at invisible units.

Was handy before when assassins had shieldbreaker rounds that destroyed whatever wargear gave you an invo, thatway you'd still get a 4++ once the stormshield was destroyed, but that's not how they work now.

Iron Hands CT nets you an IWND on a Cent Sarge. Not totally useless, but still pretty funny.

Actually, IWND is a pretty useless rule for me regardless. I have yet to make a single one!
